Aye that's probably the fact of it. You'd think a home game against a newly promoted team he'd change that philosophy but going by his quotes it doesn't look like it.
-
It was interesting to see the stat on Cabella that he'd created far more chances than anyone else in the team before the last game. Clearly he's not hit near the heights we'd all been hoping yet but he's still a lot more productive than Gouffran.
-
Don't know what Gouffran's got to do to get dropped.

This has got to be a must win. We've wasted opportunities to get maximum points at home against Palace and Hull and we can't afford to keep writing off games against such average opposition because we'll get nowt from the better teams.

When Pardew goes end of October, who do you want as..........

I thought his style of thinking always ended up just off the A1231 -
Struggled to get on their bench. Northern Ireland have players in their team from League 1 so him Shane getting a game for them in no way indicates he's of premier league level.
-
I'm not sure it matters who we have in goal given the state of our defending. No doubt you'll see a few fly past elliott but he'll probably have very little chance with most of them the same as Krul.

Would funding a proper football authority help the likes of San Marino anyway? They just don't have the numbers to get enough talent. It's possible that they might produce one star player once in a while but when the rest of the team are comparable to North Shields it's not going to help them much when they come up against countries the size of England or Germany.

RTG blocked me so I can't get to see them.

Aye Beresford defintely does the rounds in the boxes after the game. I don't think he's an arsekisser to Ashley either.
-
Aye that's why most of my posts are while I'm at work.

Why do you bother arguing with him? Unless the subject is to do with the tramps he no clue about it. And he's Danish btw Tom

Doesn't really sound like it has anything to do with football. He just has mental problems. Yes getting released as a teenager hit him but so does losing any job for most people.

He's trawlling through RTG

Would a club like Blackburn (even assuming they were at level they were then rather than now) be able to command such a fee though? I think there's a premium when you're buying players from the biggest clubs (which they weren't really despite their league win) as oppose to others. I don't think Shearer's ever spoken of any desire to have played abroad either (might be wrong there but I can't remember hearing it).

Good film as you'd expect from Fincher. Gets a bit far fetched by the end though. -
I suppose if it's felt that his influence was disrupting the team as a whole it's fair enough to drop him for the good of the team. International crickets not like international football where you meet up once in a while and play one or two ninety minute games. They can spend months away together so I would imagine they need to get on more. If it's a case of one or two people not getting on with him then shouldn't be enough reason to drop a player.
-
So as I thought he hasn't done it since he was dropped. I'm never argued against his past form just his current. I wasn't happy he got dropped but he's doing nothing to get himself back in. I must admit having South Africans I'm playing for us doesn't sit particularly well with me like. The same with all sports I think you should play for the country you're born/raised in. I don't have anything against him personally btw.
-
When was he last making big hundreds btw? I've not seen any for a while. Certainly not near on a regular basis against strong opposition.
-
He's done fuck all for a year now man. He may have been one of our better scorers comparatively in Australia but he was still far from good. He then did nothing in the ipl or in the county games from what I saw. I'm not saying he couldn't get back to his best or that if he does he shouldn't be considered but there are players now doing more than him.

The brummie accent is ropey at the best of times so I can't see that being much of a problem. I've just downloaded the first series, I'll probably make a start on it at the weekend.

I'm not knocking what he has achieved or saying their isn't a clique that needs to be sorted but I just don't think he's the fearsome player he was and I'm far from convinced he should in the team on merit anymore. It's important to have senior players in the team to help the younger ones come through but if they aren't performing you can't just keep playing them because of their past. Prior was the other example of this in the summer. You could argue Cook too but the captaincy issue makes him different. He has also showed signs of getting out of his slump.
