  1. http://cnews.canoe.c...4/20522426.html Welcome to Gun City USA Gun control changes behind plan for a massive walled, armed, private compound in Idaho Foot soldiers in America's culture war are taking to their bunkers. As U.S. President Barack Obama's administration plans new firearms restrictions in answer to the Newtown massacre, one group is calling for survivalist-minded families to apply to live in 'III Citadel' - a planned fortified city to be built into the mountains of Idaho. The main industry would be - you guessed it - firearms making, and residents would need to prove their proficiency in gun use. "The Citadel is primarily designed to defend against a grid-down, economic collapse scenario," reads one of the many pages on the website calling for recruits. "If living in an affordable, safe, well-prepared, patriotic community where your children will be educated in school rather than indoctrinated, consider the Citadel." Since the start of the great recession, precious metals and firearms are some of the only products seeing a sales boom. The main problem with creating utopias separated from the rest of society is one of economy, says one expert. "In the case of III Citadel, it sounds expensive. It seems unlikely to me that you could get very many people to move to a self-sustaining city in the middle of nowhere without some pre-existing infrastructure," said Jason Sorens, founder of the Free State Movement and an assistant professor of political science at the University at Buffalo. While some religious groups have a history of success in building their own communities, Sorens suggests survivalists are better off moving en masse to established towns with industries. And they wonder why people think they are insane.

  3. .com has been reporting that mbiwa is on the bench for a while, why is everyone acting surpised?
  4. just read this as well, i'm going with it being a good thing, hopefully the players will be questioning their manager and feeling even lower in confidence, little dispair goes a long way
  5. toulouse have confirmed hes coming here http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1311476/toulouse-sissoko-sign-newcastle?cc=5901 Sissoko, 22, was in the final year of his contract with Toulouse and had been linked with a host of clubs including Inter Milan, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur. A fee believed to be in the region of €2.5 million has been agreed and the player is expected to sign a contract to run until 2018 on Friday. He has waived his signing on fee to make sure the transfer goes through. Confirming the news via their official website, a Toulouse statement read: "Moussa Sissoko will not finish his contract with TFC. He's reached an agreement with Newcastle United Football Club for a definitive transfer which will take effect as of today. He will therefore play in England in the Premier League."
  6. in December maybe, right now we are in the middle of a dry spell, hasn't snowed more than a couple of inches in 2 weeks <goes and does snow dance>, c'mon ULLR hook a brother up.
  7. i enjoy his films and will go and see django, but he is a grade A wanker. i think its because of his "i'm the greatest" attitude that i feel this way, i don't think its onside for an artist to have that type of ego (except for rappers i suppose) i don't think they should be allowed to comment on their own art it should be left to those that consume the end product.
  8. condolences 2B, sorry for your loss
  9. at first i thought those aren't even the funniest ones......then I saw the hats.....excellent work AYS
  10. banning guns will never happen in the states, its in the constitution. more stringent regulation of types of guns/accessories available will happen, to what degree remains to be seen.
  11. really? how well do you think banning hand guns will go over? there needs to be more regulation for sure but i think counting on a ban is spectacularly naive, it will never happen. i think banning types of oversized clips for the guns is more likely as well as more stringent regulation on access, ie not being able to go and buy a hand-gun over the counter on a whim. oops double quoted
  12. stevie with the 'its not me, its you' defence, hilarious far more fun watching the stevie train wreck than taking part in it....although i suppose thats moot now
  13. its not about most shootings though its about mass shootings and clip size if you have a gun with 100 bullets ready to fire you are far more dangerous than someone with a gun that will fire between 6 -15 shots before needing to be reloaded.
  14. exactly, i saw this show and the one the next day and one of the guest said just that and something like he hopes he'll do more public speaking. scary thing is that this guy is a radio show host who has a syndicated show on over 142 stations so he has the ear of a lot of wackos i find that scarier than a ARwhatever bushmaster.
  15. thanks everyone, indeed it does scare the shit out of me but i think it excites me more, still trying to keep it low key as we've only just found out. we've got an appointment for the Dr next week. now i'm no baby expert and i've never had a pregnant wife before, but i was more than a little surprised that on all the web pages/sites/blogs i went on yesterday searching 'advice for first time fathers', the number one tidbit was 'dont tell her she looks fat' or 'its not fat, it's not fat", ffs i'm a first time father not a fucking moron.
  16. cheers, still seeping into my brain at the moment, can't wait to have a little grom to follow around the hill, holy fuck i'm gonna be dad!!
  17. in a happy, dazed state, first day of work for 2013 and just found out my wife is preggers, really excited for the next year and the changes it'll bring
