One Christmas Eve, a frenzied young man ran into a pet shop looking for an unusual Christmas gift for his wife. The shop owner suggested a parrot, named Chet, which could sing famous Christmas carols. This seemed like the perfect gift. "How do I get him to sing?" The young man asked, excitedly. "Simply hold a lighted match directly under his feet." was the shop owner's reply. The shop owner then held a lighted match under the parrot's left foot to demonstrate this and Chet began to sing. "Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells!..." The shop owner then held another match under the parrot's right foot and Chet's tune changed and the air was filled with, "Silent Night, Holy Night..." The young man was so impressed that he immediately paid the shop-keeper and ran home as quickly as he could with Chet under his arm. When the wife saw her gift she was overwhelmed. "How beautiful!" She exclaimed, "Can he talk?" "No," the young man replied, "But he can sing. Let me show you." So the young man whipped out his lighter and placed it under Chet's left foot just as the shop-keeper had shown him, "Jingle Bells! Jingle bells!...", crooned Chet The man then moved the lighter to Chet's right foot and out came: "Silent Night, Holy night..." The wife, her face filled with curiosity, then asked, "What if we hold the lighter between his legs?" "I don’t know", he said. "Let's try it." So they held the lighter between Chet's legs… Chet twisted his face, cleared his throat, and then sang out loudly like it was the performance of his life, "Chet's nuts roasting on an open fire...."

Little disappointed by the finalé tbh. Season 4 is still the best by far for me.

I'd be made up for him if he got that job. Great this like hahahahaha looking forward to reading his newsotheworld piece next week. The best thing that could happen is Hodgson getting sacked, and Allardyce getting the Liverpool job. Best Christmas present ever, if that were to happen!

"He was upset because that lost all his money because he is as gash at gambling as he is as a manager..." "I will tell them fuck all... as per usual"

If true, then that's just shocking.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
MrBass replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Plus if everyone gets on, we can all follow one another, and in an emergency someone can issue a "Toontastic ASSEMBLE!" order. It'll be like G-Force. What are some of the journo Twitter ID's?- 10610 replies

Apple "special" shopping day - this friday
MrBass replied to Smooth Operator's topic in General Chat
Someone picked up a real bargain earlier, an exercise bike that retails at £201, went for £199! Picked up a couple of tiny savings myself. Gutted that I missed out on a HD video camera that went for £50 Sony Blu-ray player up in 5 mins if anybody wants one. -

I've done quite well from it. £250 food processor wor lass wants for crimbo bought for £150 Xbox game that's £20 at the cheapest places on Find-Game for a tenner Set of 3 housephones that are £100 everywhere for £50 Then there's the deals I've missed Issey Miyake aftershave that should be £30 for under a tenner £450 Pioneer mixer for £325 Dunno why anyone would sniff at those savings. That sounds canny good. When I looked on there, everything that was on offer was only about a fiver off... not that I saw anything I wanted mind. -

Doubt it'll be much tbh. Amazon are doing this whole "Black Friday" thing too (even though it's supposed to be the day after Thanksgiving) and are knocking about a fiver off a £50 game. I've also heard that Macs are great when they're new but end up being incredibly slow after a while. Like most Windows PC's I guess, but not sure how easy it is to tune/defrag/rebuild Macs.
