TheGingerQuiff 1,678
Brewce signed some canny players for the mackems but tactician he is not. Makes sense that we want him in a role where he coaches and doesn't recruit then
Tom 3,135
Didn’t he do some class recruitment at Wigan? Or am I making that up?

Imagine breaking his "no employed manager" rule to buy out STEVE BRUCE's contract.

To be fair it looked like they would pay Derby for McClaren, but he knocked us back. Then he got sacked and we signed him up in the summer
ewerk 6,495
Aye, it was the two wins in 13 that really convinced Ashley that he was the man for us.
The Mighty Hog 154
It was as baffling then as it is today.

Maybe the Bruce appointment does make sense, as going off that track record they may actually believe he’s a competent manager.
@yourservice 67
Imaging lifting silverware under Spruce, what a nightmare.

wykikitoon 1,008
You've got to laugh because daft cunts LIKE Jordan still pedal that we are at a level now where that's the sort of manager we attract. The bitter cockney cunt.

The bitter cockney cunt. It's sad that people still acknowledge what he says and give him the attention he craves. It's the local media that are of bigger concern. They are visibly shit scared of getting behind any fan movement
Kitman 570
Might be fun having an incompetent piss head in charge of the tram. Certainly worked with Kinnear

RobinRobin 456
We don't need to be concerned by his inability to coach, as there will be no players left to coach

Ayatollah Hermione 3,822
Going for Allardyce is blatantly vindictive tbh. Then again, you can say anything about Ashley and Charnley and they’ll not come out and dispute it so who knows? Allardyce is probably on the wind-up.
wykikitoon 1,008
There's no fucking way he was contacted, no fucking way. He's been back pedalling ever since he said that. No doubt pissed up with that red faced fat alcho cunt who hosts the show
PaddockLad 2,775
A lot of journos were reporting it last night. Why the fuck would Allardyce lie? It would be easy for any NE based reporter to confirm whether it was true or not. Rafa told them he was leaving in mid May. It’s now mid July. Sheff Weds have far more potential than NUFC under Ashley. Alex Bruce already getting abuse from mongs on Twitter. My money is on Bruce turning it down too. It’s Redfern in charge v Arsenal iyam. Ayatollah Hermione 3,822
Bruce has asked to speak with us by all accounts so seems like it might be moving in that direction. We’re like Make-A-Wish but one that grants second chances to busted, finished managers.
wykikitoon 1,008
Let's be honest. Why would anyone take the job unless they were out of work? Weds have a decent owner now havent they and someone who invests into the club. He's jumping from that and into a position of the total opposite.

He will certainly improve his salary and getting better terms in regards to the length of the contract. By the state of his head, his ego, as with most managers, will certainly be big enough to think that he can actually do a good job.
