Ben Arfa the standout player. Tiote and actually Barton both had great games in midfield. Even Nolan put a bit of a shift in. The rest of the team also played well. Carroll was a bit of a disappointment today for me in attack, but he did work very well defensively. So happy that Fellaini missed, he was such a dick the entire game. :)

Nervous times there at the end!!!

All up though it was a deserved win, we had the upper hand for the majority of the match. Nailed on penalty missed for us as well, though they had half a shout on one as well earlier in the piece.

Tiote looks like he will be a mainstay in the side, and Ben Arfa so far is just clearly a level above other attacking players we have, and on the day above all attacking players on the field. Has a range of cleverly disguised passes in his arsenal our players are going to have to get used to having those sort of incisive passes on offer.

Brilliant.

If someone had offered us 7 points from these first 5 games I think we'd all have been pleased with that.

Beating Villa and Everton, makes up for losing to Blackpool iyam.

Just hope we make the best of this result by continuing the performance next game. Which we won't

Great response from the team after the shocking result against Blackpool. Glad to see Smith dropped, doubt we would've got 3 points with him today.

Bafra. :)

Would have been third had we won against Blackpool which is frustrating because we certainly had the chances to win that game as well.

Still, fantastic result today! :omgwank:

some great performances today like. Though Ben arfa , barton, tiote were stand outs though. Tiote's fast can tackle and his distributions looked really good. Ben arfa was floating past people making things happen. Much improved on last week im totally impressed

Would have been totally unjust had they scored at the end. When Nolan got brought down should have been a penalty and red card stone waller. Fucking scouse commentater saying what an amazing tackle it was fucking idiot

From the commentary it seemed that Bafra was running the show in offense. Can't quite believe he didn't get more of a part to play against Blackpool. Could have been another 3 points.

Still, good to see the new faces getting a game against a good team and coming away with a great result. We didn't keep a lot of clean sheets the last season we were in the PL!

Stoke at home? Howay, we'll slaughter them. :) The cup is a right off though.

Arsenal against Sunderland on ESPN now. Come on Arsenal!
