How typical is that of his management by the way. Hopefully we get a quick goal and can see it out. Not hopefully we can get a quick goal and kick on from there and get a few more. We've had it said about us many times that we would rather lose 4-3 than win 1-0 and his whole tactical outlook seems to be built on trying to get us the latter. I'd be content with winning 1-0 every week but there is simply no way that it's sustainable long term to just try and defend from the point that you take the lead. We have tried giving the team support for a very long time, never seems like it makes any difference under Pardew. If the team plays well it's mostly do to a magnificent individual performance, following with the player getting sold next window. Pardew is just building a nest for what his next 100 excuses is going to be about.
