No surprises really, dont know why the Arsenal fans were getting so worked up. If it was Malaga or Porto I'd understand, thats their level now. Bayern are a very very good team and Arsenal were always going to have to play out of their skins to get anything from the game.

if anyone watched Milan vs Parma from Friday they basically trialled tonight's tactics there. it was good watching, frustrating for the home fans who didn't get it though I imagine.

Messi was shite tonight as was Pedro and Xavi had one of the least effective games I've ever seen him play. Iniesta was the only attacking player for Barca who looked anything like up to normal standard. Fair play to Milan though who played them brilliantly.

Barca don't have a plan b - the amount of times Dani Alves had beaten the full back and didn't put a cross in was criminal. Only Iniesta looked to switch things up a bit and that wasn't until late on in the game. Messi was quiet but he was marked out of the game.

Still think they can get 2 goals in the second leg, but Milan look good on the counter.

You don't need a plan B when your plan A is so successfull. They are the most successfull team in the last 2 decades. They aren't going to win 6 trophies a year every single year though realistically

Barcelona have real problems against clubs who park the bus. Look at their games against Celtic. Theynever play a long ball which always gives the opposition time to regroup.

Milan's style last night wasn't anything like Celtic's parking of the bus and Barca had chances against Celtic compared to last night.

My point is it wasn't very successful last night though.

For all the glory of the passing carousel, they only had a single shot on target compared to Milan's 3. The only time Milan's defence looked suspect funnily enough was around the 85th minute when Barca finally crossed into the six yard box from out wide. Even then there was no actual striker there to challenge for the ball so it was a waste.

They definitely miss the all round play of Eto'o.
