Stratton resigns

How did that job move from the BBC go for you Allegra?

It's been quite a journey for her. She joined in order to make Sunak the next leader then jumped to No.10 in order to host daily televised briefings. Then that idea was sacked off after spending over £2m on a briefing room. So she was moved to COP26 spokesperson (not that I ever saw her speaking about it) and has now been publicly humiliated with her career in tatters to the extent that only her husband will be able to employ her.

She looks more natural practicing lying than she does pretending to cry.

Sniff sniff, snivel, snivel. Probably just been taking some coke.

As hammy as Hancock. Okay, that's unfair, it's impossible to fake cry that badly.

Now they won't confirm that the bloke running the inquiry wasn't himself at the party.

It's okay. They've now confirmed that he wasn't at the party but are still unable to confirm whether there was a party.

It's the difference between saying you give a shit about others and actually giving a shit about others.....

Or being sorry you got caught out as opposed to being sorry

Given how this is going, it'll end with a photo of Boris dressed fully as santa claus with a couple of young Tory interns on each knee underneath a banner saying "No. 10 Christmas Party 2020"

EDIT - Isegrim beat me to it.

We should all appreciate that if the Cabinet Secretary, a man who may well have been at the party himself, finds any evidence that this party happened, the Met will further consider the situation, and that they will work tirelessly to find a new reason not to do their jobs.
