Is this the stat that will see John Carver at the helm next year?

Probably. Sadly I think Charnley is really that stupid and will buy into Carver's excuses. The former is clueless and for a supposed fan Carver is showing he only really cares about himself.

We also topped the 'distance travelled by away fans per goal scored' league. Another triumph for John 'one of us' Carver. He feels our pain. He really does.

Shows that we are willing to put up with tiresome bullshit better than anybody. It's why you're still here you ungrateful boring cunt.

Puts pay to the nonsense Alan Smith said during the West Ham match about Hull having a serious injury crisis and Newcastle not having to suffer like they did.

If Charnley does appoint Carver and everything goes pear shaped pretty quickly, Ashley will sack Charnley in less time than it takes him to say 'You're fired'.

Were my thoughts exactly.

Now that Pope is injured we could at last assemble an extremely strong team of absentees.

Pope

Burn

Botman

Targett

Manquillo

Murphy

Tonali

Longstaff

Anderson

Willock

Wilson

Barnes

Remarkable.

That could well have been a decent team for the league cup game v Chelsea.

I know Pope was probably the one player we could afford to lose right now since that's the only position we have cover left in. But it's still a big blow imo. His shot stopping has kept us in games when we haven't been playing well, even if the kicking is likely to have us all end up seeing a cardiologist.

Aye we'd be absolutely mad to chase a keeper in January considering the make up of our squad, we had three of them on the bench this week, we don't need more.

Dubs has 130 PL matches to his name, Karius has 30. Neither are inexperienced kids who we'd be throwing in the deep end while Pope is out.

Why would Ramsdale come to us knowing he’s not guaranteed the No.1 spot? There’s no point in him going from one bench to another.

The only reason would be a 6 month loan so he can get picked for euros.  I’m not even sure he is that much better than Dubravka.

I forgot Karius was even at Newcastle. Kinda feel bad for him, the British press completely assassinated him even long before the in the Champions League final.

He's surely fine as a short term third choice. Was only a couple of years ago Liverpool had Andy Lonergan in as an emergency backup, and looking at the state of Onana it's not mental to suggest you could do far worse than Lloris Karis as 3rd choice goalie.

No way would we be signing another keeper, there've been games where we have 3 on the bench!

Dubravka is fine as a deputy, and Karius is fine as 3rd choice.

There's only 5 teams who face fewer shots on target.
