Craig 12387
Some stats these, mind. Particularly considering the league cup is a competition we never appeared to take seriously in the previous 35 years I followed the club. The most serious effort I can think of was the one that ended at Highbury where they kicked Ginola to the point where he snapped and got sent off.
Ayatollah Hermione 17238
Even better to have a manager who says he’ll take the cups seriously and then actually does so. And then win one for good measure

A game which Eddie has, several times, pointed out he learned more from in terms of preparation than any other he has managed.

This is the Spurs take on it: An extremely difficult draw even at full strength, but despite a host of injuries and a deliberately weakened starting eleven, it took one indefensible decision from the ref and one horrific decision from our GK to see us beaten. 1
Howmanheyman 43950
We made more changes than them, no ref bollock dropped for our first, keeper clanger for our second, totally agree but we let them off the hook a few times as well so for the Tottenham fan..... Ayatollah Hermione 17238
Just noticed this threads subheading, proudly mentioning that Eddie Howe was Manager of the Month in 2022. Has he done anything else of note since then that we change the heading to?

beatty 99
So this game exemplifies Howe's limitations. He relys on, has spent millions on, and constantly sets up defensive countering teams who rely on being passive for large stretches of away games. And all year opponents have sussed this and just attacked the fuck out of us. Sooner or later we fuck up and concede. 2

Most people were on his back given the number of injuries. It was not sustainable. This is a more sustainable approach that is not working yet. What do we expect him to do? Should we try and press every game? What happens when Woltemade is injured and Gordon is the only person up front? It is such a one dimensional criticism of him. It is not like Amorim where he seems to have 1 system regardless of anything that happens. The game upset me tonight as I thought we were the better team but they played the better game. If Pope had not had a brain fart, the result may have been different.
