I've seen Michael Beale mentioned as a possibility. That would be peak hilarity if Gerrard's former assistant got the job only four months after he left to take a manager job somewhere else.  It's like Gerrard is Homer in the Stonecutters episode of the Simpsons.

 

Villa will have to rename itself to "The No Gerrards"

Beale just turned them down yesterday apparently. Said he wants to stay and continue with QPR.
