Yep, take that for sure. Clean sheet suggests we're getting things right in that department, just need to fix the disconnect in the final third. Which, tbf, is squarely what the club are focused on.

That was a hard earned point. We definitely rode our luck at times but Brighton looked very good. Hopefully they go off the boil like they did last season otherwise they’re definitely competition for a top half spot.

We've got to be happier than they are with a point.

2 games, 4 points, zero goals conceded. How very unlike Newcastle United. Long may it continue.

Definitely. We’re a tough team to break down and press well. Just need some more quality in the final third.

Pope is man of the match, twice saving us a point

Hopefully that, if there was even any doubt, clears the minds of the money men and women about what we need to do in the final few weeks of the window. We can't progress as we'd like on being solid and having a lot of grit, both of which we showed in abundance today.

We're a lot harder to beat and a lot more organised than we were but the same old problem remains - creation and taking of chances.

I really hope we sign at least two attacking players before the deadline.

Best ball of the game for us was unfortunately Wilson crossing it in for nobody with the nous to get on the end of it.
