Any truth in that and I sincerely hope we stick to our guns and he has to come ‘home’ on Tuesday with his tail between his legs. I hope he's stuck for purgatory in crossroads motel where he can check out at any time but he can never leave and he has to share a bedroom with Benny but never miss Diane.

Alex 42149
At this point I think his (fucking appalling) behaviour has scuppered his move, if not his career. What a pair of stupid fucking cunts him and his agent are.

Surely they're either in talks for Isak or for someone else at this point, and it just hasn't leaked yet?

With Liverpool being cunts they will probably wait to the last minute banking on us having to accept an offer on their terms.

What a pair of stupid fucking cunts him and his agent are. Thoroughly deserved if it turns out to be the case. I really don't want him here to be honest though. We're a passionate fan base, our emotion is raw and in the main untamed. It's why Bruno will forever be lauded, he gets it. If he's reintegrated and starts banging them in, is he going to celebrate? Does it mean anything if he does, will we forever be doubting his work ethic? We're literally waiting for him to move in that case - feels like stagnation in that regard. The problem is he's a world class player and if he's not replaced then the management will probably feel they need to try reintegrate. That scenario is a right pickle and could overshadow our season, especially if he simply refuses to play. Getting another striker, one prem ready who can hit the ground running, to supplement what looks a great addition in the big German, feels essential to far more than just improving the squad credentials.
Alex 42149
Yeah, maybe you are both right. It doesn’t count for much if they haven’t been in contact with NUFC and agreed a fee though. Equally so if we haven’t got another striker incoming edit: @Isegrim @Kid Dynamite Edited August 31 by Alex

Fingers crossed it's both, although the pessimist in me still thinks the cunt will a) get his "dream" move to the dippers; b) get his "I'm a disloyal cunt" loyalty bonus and c) go for much less than has been wildly documented, ~£120m.

If they crack at a certain price then I think we will. We could just do the old Torres/Carroll trick. if we pay £40m for Wissa we’ll give you him for £140m 45m = 145m 50m =150m etc

The loyalty part of the equation I think is the only part we have some form of control. We insinuate there's no transfer unless the net positive position for Newcastle is X. Work it out Alex and agent, the difference is your fees and loyalty bonuses. Liverpool will low ball but if that's offset by £10m not being paid to him and his scum of an agent, then we're surely more likely to release? With signing Woltemade for a large (people here saying overinflated) fee and the other signing I do not know how healthy our position is in regards to complying with the needs of PSR as well the UEFA regulations. Not selling him now might put us in a terrible position next summer. Otherwise I would really like us to make a statement by just telling the cunts (player and club) to feck off.

sammynb 4171
The Saudi window closes a couple fo weeks after the PL, Isak doesn't go to the scouse tapping up team, then 150m to whichever Saudi club wants him first and it's his only choice if he wants to play in a WC year. Would be the best outcome for our PSR and not giving the cunt what he wants. Edited August 31 by sammynb

Gemmill 63202
The position from the club is that we aren't spending the Isak money, and that we're not putting ourselves in PSR problem. That's what the Geordie Journos were saying last night, but admittedly it's no Transfer Sector. I hope we sign one of Larsen or Wissa and then I don't give a fuck what happens to Isak. If we fail to get a second striker we're still slightly beholden to the prick and I don't want that.
Gemmill 63202
Can he leave once our window closes though? To Saudi, I mean?
