Is it just me or does it feel every year the seasons outcome is more and more about injuries and avoiding them?

Thinking back to Keegan times, didn't we have a smaller squad who didn't get injured as much? Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me. Or more likely the demands of the game are so much greater now.

Also, I cant help wincing when I see knee slides. Surely thats a risk, even if a small one.

Different era. They were elite players then. :good:

Keegan’s team wouldn’t be able to keep up with the pace of the modern game. They’re more prone to injury now because of the increased intensity

I think this is the big thing.

Plus players are a little less robust in some areas as they're more professional. I.e they're not piss heads. They're a lot more lightweight.

Well apart from the fat cunts at Man Utd

Nothing wrong with a bit of stodge Albert Ferdinand Howey etc made them more robust

Also, Toontastic has now been around long enough that we've moved on from players' wives to players' mams.

Grans up next!

I mean, how long ago was the denise welch incident?

Lad at work has done his MCL same has Tino. His knee is fucking massive and the bruising on it is ridiculous. Looks like someone has smashed the back of his leg with a sledgehammer.

MCL is so much easier to recover from and review compared to ACL. Generally no need for surgery either unless it's chronic. Good news for the lad at work.

So he's off to Citeh (of the Manchester kind) next window?

Hope not.

Really do enjoy watching players who have a love of the club like we do. Yes maybe they need to eventually move on to other clubs if they want more but fuck players like Isak who have nothing but a love of money.

Liverpool have full back issues too. Wouldn't be surprised to see them challenging Man City if it looks like he's going in the Jan.

Obvs I hope none of this happens, but you'd think their interest is gonna crystalise into a bid eventually.

Unless he pulls an Isak, I can see us just holding out and saying no to (Man) City. And I imagine he's seeing how Isak is getting on currently and isn't daft enough to pull a similar trick
