We have glory supporters????!!!!

Most of Last of the Mohicans, but the ambush after the British were kicked out of the fort, and the last scene were good. All of Downfall and the concert scene in the Blues Brothers.

Don't think so Snakehips. We'll score the only goal with a blatant hand ball. Again.

Which team do you mean Barney? We play Portsmouth on the 3rd, and then we finish with quite a few scary games in the run in. Whilst I wish we could have Messi, Rooney etc. and play great football, but a club in our position can't really expect that in a million years and results are the most important thing.

Israel continues its merciless pounding of the defenceless.
Billy Castell replied to Park Life's topic in General Chat
No US President will really go to town on Israel, as the 'Jewish vote' is pretty potent. There are enough people who see any negative comment on Israel's actions as 'anti-Semitic' to make them wary of stringent sanctions and strong words. I am confused why Israel seem to be going out of their way to piss off their allies in the West over so many issues. I hope we unite and put the boot into Israel and say that there needs to be a proper Palestinian state with no settlements or else all help will be stopped, and we'll leave Iran to get on with their dirty tricks. -
How many times did Savage say "when I was here under Sparky..."? I was starting to think it was some sort of challenge for Sports Relief. True, and it probably was. He was very close to Hughes, which is probably why he fell out with Toshack. Another win, 2-1 against Big Club (Birmingham). Sets us up nicely for Sunday. How's Fat Sam doing? We still have a section who hate him, say his football is awful, he is the worst manager ever etc., but the mjority say whilst the football is not exactly Barcelona, the results more than make up for it. That former group will never be happy, but never say who'd they'd replace him with, and just criticise.

"I like Steven Taylor, but then again I also like Andy Carroll. But who is better? There's only one way to settle this.......................FIIIIIGGGHHTT !!!!!!!!!" Ring up Jeremy Kyle or Trisha, they'd love all these stories.

Any country that has Glenn Beck on TV as a popular political pundit must be a bit wrong. If he was in this country, he'd probably be standing outside a supermarket with a tinfoil helmet trying to avoid the men in white coats who'll take him away and read his mind. He's mental.

Blackburn 1-1 Chelsea After a dodgy start, Rovers really competed against an under par Chelsea team, and may even have won. There were 4 things to really note: 1. El Hadji Diouf scored after doing precisely fuck all up to then. 2. Chelsea have no full backs and therefore no width since Ivanovich was injured, joining Cole and Bosingwa. 3. Phil Jones had an immense debut and kept Anelka and Drogba in his pocket. Not bad for an 18 year old. 4. Robbie Savage was entertaining as a pundit. The perfect antidote to listening to Alan Green whiny bollocks at the Man Utd game.

Newcastle look to spain for two new players!
Billy Castell replied to Deano 's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'd be avoiding Spanish based players if I were Newcastle. How many have been utter crap for you in recent years? -
This one is great. Reminds me of Yerry Gilliam's Monty Python animation. Also good to see Aphex Twin's limo halfway through. The Led Zepplin one is great too.

Hope she didn't go the Cheltenham this week. There may have been a misunderstanding and she could have been in the Gold Cup.

3 year old girl gone missing in portugal
Billy Castell replied to Smooth Operator's topic in General Chat
One of my sisters got married in the same church as the McCanns. Anyway, I think they have been given a lot of sympathy due to their class. Imagine if they were a working class family on holiday in Benidorm, and the parents left the kid(s) alone whilst they went out on the lash in the nightclubs. The newspapers would tear them to shreds and turn them into sausages. But because they're doctors, lawyers or whatever, everyone is offering all the help they can. Sorry, but that's how I feel. -
Skunk Anansie were awesome. Should dig out my copy of Stoosh or Post orgasmic chill now.

General consensus seems to be that Hughton is doing nothing special, and that just about any manager would have yielded the same or similar results with the gulf in the class of players in this league. With that in mind if we're promoted the fear is that once the results don't come so easy the players heads will drop and Hughton won't be able to motivate them, or make the necessary tactical adjustments required. its frightening to think the frenzy that would have been generated had Shearer been in charge and acheived exactly the same results. I admit I would have probably lost all perspective and be considering him some sort of management god, rather than Hughton who is being shrugged off as a innefectual bloke who got lucky. I think it's the manner of performances that has people worried. All too often, Hughton's been tactically suspect and we've really had to grind results out sometimes. If Shearer was here with the same points total and the same performances, I think people would be a bit concerned as well. What I would say is that Hughton has done exactly what it takes to get out of this division, he's built from the back and he's not lost many games. Yes one or two decisions have been suspect but he's made the team very difficult to beat and instilled a fighting spirit that was long since gone. I think anybody that witnessed the shambles that was Aston Villa on the last day of the season must have serious concerns over Shearer's ability to motivate players. To go out in the manner that we did was an absolute disgrace. It's a fair point. Personally speaking, I think Hughton has done a pretty good job for you. After the complete shitstorm of relegation, the wages of planks like Viduka, and the fact of who you're owned by it could have been one hell of a plunge. You may have even been relegated again with that sense of doom and gloom around your club at the end of last season. Hughton seems to have got some of the confidence back up there, and whilst you probably won't challenge for Europe with the current set-up, at least you have the momentum to not be considered automatic relegation candidates. It could have been a lot worse-JFK or Dennis Wise could have taken over once Alan left. As for Dowie, there are rumours of his training methods being 'traditional' along with his man-management skills. I doubt he can keep them up. They are in a real tailspin, and have 1st division players playing for them.

Very gracious of you. Best striker England have had in years. He is from Newcastle, supports Newcastle as a kid, so I do not blame him for moving there. There are stories of him dictating who he will play with when Harford was manager, but he won us the league. It was absolutely gutting when he left, especiaslly since he was eventually replaced by Kevin Davies, but it was some time ago. Does annoy me that the media forget about his entire pre-Newcastle career though.

Tell me Johnny, have you ever been to a Turkish prison. Gutted, as I love the old Mission Impossible shows (much better than the Tom Cruise nonsense), and Airplane is one of the funniest films ever.

1. Arsene Wenger. Cunt, simple as that. 2. Dennis Bergkamp. 3. Spurs fans, Spurs and the media that love them. 4. Cashley Cole. 5. Francesco Totti. The most over rated player in recent history. 6. Christiano Ronaldo. 7. Arsene Wenger. 8. Steven Gerrard. Over rated, and gets away with diving and fouling. 9. Harry Redknapp. 10. Brian Kidd 11. Garry Cooke 12. Andy Townsend. 13. Clive Tyldsley 14. John Motson

What odds Stan Collymore will be found wacking one out on this new site?

Thought she was dead for a split second, but then saw there was no 'Yes Gemmill' subtitle.

I'm not in the loop here, so what's with the doubts about Hughton? From the casual outside observer he seems to be doing a good job. You could have brought back JFK and relly imploded.

Strictly non-NUFC, I'll say Colin Hendry. Absolute hard-as-nails defender who was the foundation of so much of our success. On a related note, I have a love/hate thing with Roy Hodgson. He's an utterly decent chap, always honest after a game and doesn't indulge in the bollocks wankers like Benitez, Ferguson and Wenger do. However, when he was Rovers manager he replaced Hendry with Dailly and Peacock (thanks for that), and spent masses of cash on really shit players. Other names worth a mention: 1. Alan Shearer (I still respect him when other some Rovers fans don't) 2. Eric Cantona 3. Franco Zola 4. Claude Makalele 5. Ian Holloway 6. Mark Atkins 7. Peter Schmeichel
