  1. You know what that one is a genuine surprise to me. Seems somewhat disputed which of the words is preferred but I have to admit the language authorities apparently come down on your side of it I'd guess queue wins out long term, (with cue only standing a chance because people can't spell queue), but that doesn't change the fact that you were quite right and I was mistaken. I had bought into the idea that you had finally cut loose and revealed the inner, linguistically carefree Fish in the giddy hedonism of the celebrations! My sincerest apologies Dave
  2. Not personally going after Keegan for this one although I think he would have been better off stating that anyone who hasn't played professional men's football has no idea what goes into it. Either way I'm going to blind eye this because I'm biased as fuck.
  3. Smoking is a significant drain in the NHS though and we've fucked the country to the point where soon enough the people who have lung cancer because of it will need to be paying tens of thousands for treatment. Better spare them now than bankrupt them later.
  4. What in the fuck is that speech. Where has that even come from, who the fuck are we meant to be fighting? Also she heavily over uses the 'stand up and fight bit' in the middle of that to the point of just being comical. They're just painful, they really are.
  5. Honestly they have absolutely convinced themselves that this is a conspiracy and that Darren England is some sort of criminal mastermind. He is "arrogant, clinical and relaxed" apparently, which just confirms it. Here's the thread for anyone interested in mass persecution complexes: https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=354950.5400
  6. Ah there we go, we got dragged in too.
  7. Thought I'd head over to Rawk and see how the sane and reasonable posters on there are handling this... @LondonBlue Turns out you guys are to blame for this one.
  8. The fact that people could readily believe this says everything anyone needs to know about UEFA
  9. Man, we are fucking aligned on this one
  10. This whole thing could be sorted by an amended process. Instead of yes or no calls on the decisions, just state definitively what the actual outcome is. So instead of 'yes that's correct' or whatever, you say 'Goal'. And this is what is then passed to the on field officials. There is no possible way that then gets misinterpreted. More widely than that, the officials clearly don't know what the recourse is if something like this happens - that's another procedural failure that needs to be addressed. How do we make this right in the immediate aftermath if it happens in future can absolutely be part of the conversation here. For me though, that's as far as this goes - what can we learn from it, how can we minimise the chance of it happening, on we go.
  11. No way it happens, Spurs would fight that all the way.
  12. I support the principle behind it but it does sound unworkable.
  13. Sounds a bit like Exile from RTG tbh. You reckon Leazes might have switched teams?
  14. I agree they're fucked tbh. Which I'm glad about given my intentions for this election. A 'have my cake and eat it' moment as far as voting outcomes go - I get to be a naive, principled twat without it costing anyone anything
  15. Self identifying as "she", we don't need to ask any further questions in this day and age
  16. In the mod channel I literally made this joke myself
  17. And tbf, that's quite a committed update Fair play.
  18. Agree with this, not that anyone will be surprised at my bleeding heart view on it. The ASM stuff has never bothered me as much as others as he was a fun player, and while the take on Gordon is a bit mental I feel like it's only happening because she's been locked into by default rather than genuinely believes it. There'll be an eventual climbdown there IMO
  19. My general rule of thumb here personally is if I watch the clip and end up sucking air through my teeth at a rapid rate with a look of disgust/horror, then it was a red card. This was a fucking red card
  20. This is unfortunate and inevitable. And funny tbf. The thing with TT is, we don't care if anyone else shows up really, we're not looking to grow the userbase as such (if people join and get the place, great, if not, we're fine), we're just here to talk with a bunch of people most of us have known for over a decade. Over the course of the years that TT has been running it's developed a particular culture. You can't just drop 10 or so people into that culture out of nowhere and in total ignorance of said culture, and then take offence at it. No one was being harsh or mean to you, you just don't get how this place works. Keep reading the forum outside of this thread, see if you can insert yourself into a conversation or thread somewhere, and you'll find you get on pretty well IMO. None of us are bad people, none of us are children, we're all grown adults with jobs and families and whatever. We all care about each other. In earnest though even if we'd given you the perfect welcome with bells on, taking a community group that seems to be well connected to each other such as your own and merging it into another community with similar bonds and ties with no planning, conversation or attempt to understand each other was always going to fail. Sorry to hear about the blog and its owner btw. Good luck in whatever you do from here.
  21. Are they seriously going to elect Suella? I can't see it, would be suicide. Would amuse me to see the Guardian have to line up behind a white male candidate against a female person of colour though. They might implode.
