I’ve been his biggest supporter because he’s a great goalkeeper, but Pope let them back into the game and needs dropping. Agree with Wykiki and the video tbh. The players we have bought have risen the floor of the squad, but nobody since Tonali has raised the ceiling. The floor needed raising, we had some lads who despite great effort were Rafa signings (still do tbh). We would do with a statement signing, like Tonali. It would give everyone a boost. I think it would be useful to bring in a defensive midfielder to allow Tonali to get further forward, getting him and Bruno who are two of our most technical players higher up the pitch would increase possession.
