I’m don’t get the not getting champions league this season is failure line. We got it last season due to ungodly form on our side, not as many games, a great run of no injuries and other teams being below their own averages. We STILL have players playing regularly for us who started in the championship. If we end up finishing 7th, the overall trend is still upwards and it’s only been 2 1/2 seasons.

Nobody is infallible. Trippier has made costly mistakes in the last 2/3 games. No problem with calling out mistakes (missing a penalty isn’t a mistake imo, but no biggie) The hyperbole is mental though, we have gone from literally bottom of the league and out of the cups as soon as we enter them. To champions league, a final, a quarter final lost away to Chelsea and the reaction is inconsistent.

Yeh we did, after 65 minutes of defending like hero’s, and working our socks off. I cannot believe you don’t understand that the we were under the cosh for the entire game and that kind of defending takes it out of you. I am not saying you can’t be annoyed but calling these lads out is harsh, we are down to the bare bones and they are giving everything.
