  1. So, playing around with my BT box, I see I've got an app for GB TV. Got 5 minutes to spare, never seen it, I'm curious enough to put it on. Cuts to this Scottish tramp talking shit. But I think I recognise him, it's Neil Oliver who used to host Coast which I quite liked. So, looked up his profile on wiki and aye, he's an absolute loon. Covid vaccination causes "turbo-cancer" in children apparently. Fucking hell man.
  2. What are you like. I'm actually working on getting a drug onto the market which may benefit you, for overactive bladder. Basically stops you needing a piss every 5 minutes. Also, today was a like a summers day in the Sahara compared with the time the mackems beat us in the rain, when the Leazes was roofless.
  3. Just following the match on the Sky Sports app. Goals aside, looks like it is perfectly matched and as boring as the heat death of the Universe.?
  4. What a know nothing prick Frazer Nelson is. Doesn't stop him being on Question Time every other week.
  5. Read the NW square, which was enough. Think I've said before, but one of my wife's friends went down the rabbit hole during covid. I would have regarded myself as a friend to her and her family too. Now I can only offer the most basics of acknowledgement in terms of contact. Because she believes 8n a ton of shit, including companies that I consult for, such as Pfizer, are mass murderers. There's no way back from that l, how can there be? It's a massive problem, which I remember first reading about in the early 2000s. People denying all logic and science, through "research" done on a mobile phone, made possible by science. 20 years later we have Qanon and all manner of insanity. I don't know what the solution is.
  6. Just reading bulleted highlights. Aye. Which mainstream party has actively stoked division in the past years? And of course, now it is someone else's fault.
  7. That's the posh way too. I'm out with work tonight so will be navigating this at an even worse time. Even coming in in the morning the Shields way can create anxiety nowadays. Some absolute detritus get on, just randomly hassling people, or dropping off spiced out and unconcious. At 8am. The only time I feel safe on the metro is after a match which is ironic given the rep of football fans (mainly middle age, middle class, like me).
  8. "These people are really dishonest" Where the fuck is Melania anyway? They need to start checking under his hundreds of patios.
  9. Sometimes you really need to take a step back and consider how fucked up this government really are. At a time when there is a cost of living crisis with millions living in poverty, social services are in crisis, councils are going bankrupt, NHS waiting lists at record highs, under funded defence with a war in Europe, schools struggling, transport projects cancelled, national debt at a 60 year high, taxation at record levels ... etc. At this very time, Sunak thinks that spending 1.8 MILLION pounds to deport each refugee to a country with known issues with human rights is good value. And thisis if it happens at all. How can anyone support this madness? https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/mar/01/rwanda-plan-uk-asylum-seeker-cost-figures
  10. Tip here, as I always forget. If you want to ignore someone, on PC anyway, hover the cursor over their avatar and the option will pop up.
  11. So, that cunt Galloway was elected. Whatever. But why the fuck are the BBC repeatedly saying Labour came fourth @Dr Gloom? Tagging you as the board's BBC fanboy. LABOUR DID NOT FIELD A CANDIDATE. They say absolutely nothing about the fact that the Tories, who had a candidate, came third against no opposition. I'm sorry like, the BBCs take on this on R5 is insane and blatantly biased.
  12. Looks like Don is skint. Would love to see him have to flog Mara Largo.
  13. When extreme right meets extreme left. What a world we live in.
  14. Great read, cheers. Tories literally dying out. Honestly, feels like they are in existential decline. Good riddance you horrible bastards.
  15. If anyone has any doubt why Labour "don't have a plan" here's why. Within a couple of weeks of Bridget revealing her childcare plans, the tories realised it would be popular and so a threat, so stole them. Now Hunt is doing the same for windfall and non-dom taxes. Labour should do nothing until the GE is announced and the tories have released their manifesto.
  16. What other public sector job would you not be suspended for after allegations of violent and/or sexual misconduct? MPS should uphold the highest standards, we know this is laughable of course.
  17. Is he left or right there? Weren't really for me but very sad regardless. Losing a friend and work partner like that must be horrible. His family too, obviously.
  18. Why do you say that? What's he not picked up on recently? Went full on guns blazing for Truss yesterday. The problem he has is there are almost too many targets to shoot at. Also, the shear volume lies and hypocrisy coming from Sunak, backed by his client media, makes it hard. Post-truth sociuety and all that.
  19. I mean, Labour have to go all in on this. How the fuck do the tories justify this?
  20. Need competition. Who's in for kick starting a competitor company, let's call it Danube. Sure this will be a piece of piss.
  21. It's a question of letting the markets decide or proactive interference from goverbment and local government, and we know what happens in this country. For the Newcastle conurbation, I've long felt we would benefit from a proper integrated public transport system into the city, concentrate all retail there to achieve critical mass, and just demolish the metro centre. But at the minute transport is a shit show and the driving/parking in the city is a fucking nightmare.
  22. He had a kidney transplant in real life. He always looked like he would be honking wearing those thick, black clothes in the Californian climate.
  23. True. Washington will be Sunderland's official M&S but in reality it's probably as close to Newcastle. Anyway, we used to have an M&S in Whitley Bay and I don't recall this hysteria when that closed down just cos you couldn't get your Percy Pigs.
