  1. He did a furniture line too. Shatner knicker drawers.
  2. Aye, let's not let an award winning chef with an interesting life story spoil your solo enjoyment of your VEGAN beer.
  3. This is why it would be fun for the mackems to get promoted. Sheffield United currently on -50 GD. A reminder last year they finished 22 points ahead of the mackems.
  4. If you had posted this in General Chat it would be "Oh Fist, what're you like..."
  5. I didn't enjoy the first couple of episodes but thought it improved one hell of a lot towards the end. Didn't feel formulaic to me either. Dunno, just felt quite real, captured the zeitgeist quite well, which was why it was impactful. The Bear I mainly agree with you, was a hard watch but clearly quality. Everything set in Chicago comes across as dark and gritty, would hate to live there. Except for Ferris Buellers day off maybe.
  6. He's the one you're a getting a comb over to try and emulate. Keep up.
  7. If you didn't like the Bear or One Day you have no soul. The Xmas episode of the Bear genuinely gave me an anxiety attack, and the episode when Dex lost himself in an alcoholic binge due to grief was so close to home for me it was very uncomfortable viewing. Although these are negative emotions, it shows the quality of the writing and acting was superlative. Shame on you Gloom, shame.
  8. Paul Scully not contesting the next election. Despite his "no go areas" comments last week, I heard him on the News Agents, and I felt he was one of the few relatively decent ones left. I think his quitting highlights the issues the tories face. I actually think he nails it here and is quite funny.
  9. Here's Liz's new best friend, Tommy, flogging "Make Engurland Great Again" (MEGA) baseball caps. I love the flag of England on the side, the absolute whopper.
  10. I'll be surprised if he remains an MP after the GE mind. All a game to that cunt. He doesn't even need the grift. He'll fuck of to California.
  11. Lower than Truss? Leadership challenge incoming in that case.
  12. Aye. I think he's probably plateaued as low as they can go on his "always tory" voters but the problem he has is those voters are old and dying, and the way FPTP works means this will have an impact the longer he waits. Plus if he tries to survive until winter the pensioners will be less likely to vote. I genuinely feel there is no way back now. They are clearly hoping for some World event to save them. Maybe there is something none of us have predicted, but I doubt it.
  13. Maybe, although remember that even in '97 they got over 30%. 25%, combined with tactical voting, would be an existential catastrophe for them. A lot depends on Reform, I personally think they won't back down and hope to effectively take over the conservatives from the ashes left. WHich would be a long-term disaster for them.
  14. Loved the Martian. It was plausible. Just started "For all mankind" last night. Was okay but a bit boring tbh. Just checked and it gets 8.1 on IMDb but it's 40 episodes long! Wtf, I can't commit to that!
  15. Down with the kids like wor Miley.
  16. Needs to join the tory party with that level of lying and delusion, the Dutch slaphead prick.
  17. I need to watch it again. What's it on? I love my Sci fi, especially the more "realistic" stuff which this was portrayed as. But all I could see with this was science and tech stuff that made no sense to me at all. A poor man's 2001. And yet it gets rave reviews, so aye, fancy seeing what I'm missing after a decade.
  18. I've never thought that. But weren't you literally saying they would achieve CL football today? [alright that was Aimaad BUT MY POINT STANDS] GD is telling. Somehow they are sixth with a negative goal difference. We are better than ManU, we can finish above them.
  19. Now is the time for you to leave this thread for a bit. 👍
  20. 200 hour drama about a randy Australian priest. What's not to like?
  21. The SMB is a glorious pit of despair currently. Oh noes, the model is broken, Jobe is actually shit, Clarke is being sold, no manager, KLD is in bed with the Saudis, etc. They are fucked mind. Only the already earned points will save them from relegation. Next year with the Frat kid in charge I can seriously see another relegation. Let's hope we can combine that with a successful European push to send them over the top. 🍿
  22. I forgive you my son. I persevered with one day. Actually ended up really enjoying it, was done well. Will be listening to the soundtrack at work tomorrow.
  23. This is brilliant, watching the tories rip themselves apart. Sunak is a snivelling cowardly shit with zero authority. May well end up as being the last ever tory PM as the party ultimately eats itself. I love the fact that he lectures us on democracy ṭoo when he is unelected, his predecessor was unelected, and his foreign secretary is unelected.
