  1. I like Colback and Anita's partnership more than Anita and Tiote's one. At least Colback can trap a ball, though I think one good central midfielder could do both of their jobs. They've only got the one up top and if it's owt like Monday, Whickham will be isolated more often than not. It's going to be a truly awful game of football.
  2. Excited for Marveaux to set Cisse up for a last-minute winner. It'll be like early 2013 never left.
  3. Aye, that's the crux of it. If you're not fussed about finding new music, it's also a good place to organise everything you like into playlists or save them to your library so you can listen without having to switch CDs or open new MP3s. They're just convenient all around, really. I hate the new Spotify UI though so I've went away from that. I'm enjoying Apple Music though and Deezer is a canny alternative too.
  4. This. Also, I'd start a Spotify playlist out of this but I haven't used it for 6 month and CT would just fill it with Toni Basil songs.
  5. Aye, all she does is look at clothes sites and share photos like a fuckwit on Facebook. If you're doing owt strenuous, I can imagine it suffers. I don't know what that is though.
  6. I like it. I've got Kodi on it so I can watch the live sports when the telly is taken up and I'm using to watch stuff in bed through Genesis and it's doing that job well. I don't have a Prime account or anything but it's not like you need it since it lets you install apk files that aren't available through their own store so I'm basically using it like any other Android tablet. You get a certain amount of games free with buying it, if you're into that and the Kindle integration works well if you have one of those. I can't grumble, not for 50 quid. Or 35.
  7. If this lot can't face up to the truth that they're half-arsing it and only trying when it suits them or when they fancy it, it's a worry. The bunch of shitty arses. McClaren needs to sort that out and it sounds like a challenge.
  8. I got one last week when it was £50 because apparently, I'm an idiot. Bought one today for my mam's Christmas present like so I'm only down 85 quid on Amazon Fire Tablets instead of £100. I'm glad Black Friday passes the savings onto us, the consumer.
  9. What's on the cards tonight, CT? Heartbeat probably.
  10. http://www.zavvi.com/ps4-hardware/sony-playstation-4-500gb-console-includes-uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection-fifa-16/11204257.html This is a good deal from Zavvi.
  11. It's telling that Pardew couldn't beat Carver's side at home tbh. That game on Monday showed he's still incapable of addressing a counter attack, showing any kind of flexibility with his formation and that his defences are always capable of fucking up, ESPECIALLY their goalkeepers, as coached by Rab C Nesbitt. Give some of our piss artists a rocket up the arse and we can beat them. I'd drop Sissoko as well. He's lounging about because he thinks he's undroppable. That needs to change.
  12. I live on the top of a steep bank so riding a bike is 50% a good laugh and 50% soul crushing.
  13. Are you implying he's got a wasting disease?
  14. Similarly, I'm off to Munich to simply drink myself into some kind of stupor.
  15. i once saw "charvers who buck back" written on the toilet wall in The Forth but there were no names beneath it, sadly.
  16. That Ezra Furman album is excellent. One of my favourites from this year.
  17. It's a big job but I think I can handle it.
  18. I got Kaiser Chiefs as well. Not to mention U2 despite me telling them to fuck off in the introductory "who do you like?" bit. Let it be known, I have filed a complaint to my local MP and I will be expecting the matter resolved.
  19. And he gets it. My incredible knowledge of music has netted me 50 quid this time though.
  20. They were playing some of Adele's new album on the radio today (Heart, it's on at work) and I genuinely thought they had just played the same song 4 times but turns out they were all different. Slow, poorly written piano ballads that she shouts her way through. I suppose that formula has made her plenty of money so why change? Still working through 2015's weekly releases on top of digging back into some mid 90s albums. "II" by Fuzz is an excellent garage rock album; it features Ty Segall so it's overly long since his quality control is abysmal but it features some great Thin Lizzy style harmonised guitar parts dumped right into these lo-fi garage songs. It works really well. "Return to the Moon" by EL VY is well recommended if you like The National. The rhythm section reminds me of Spoon and there's some very well written tracks. The new Jamie Woon needed time to grow on me but it's an excellent album to put on at about 1am and drop off to. His sound is basically the same but it's more accomplished with more consistently strong hooks. I enjoyed the new Hot Chip in parts too but they're such an inconsistent album band, for me. I'd love to see a Hot Chip compilation released when they split up with the very best stuff. That'd make a great 2 disc compilation. Also, I quite like the two new Little Mix singles I've heard
  21. Going to get some generic German lager from the NISA and get pissed while giving it a go through iTunes. How's the 24/7 radio feature? I like the look of Run the Jewels, St Vincent etc. doing broadcasts but how is it in practice?
  22. I think once his injuries kicked in, he instructed his agent to make him as much money as possible out of however long his career was going to last.
