But the system of their fate being decided by a home and away leg against the 5th South American country was also a crock. The way it should be is Oceania is decided at the same time as the Asian first group stages and then the winner should join the other 9 or 11 depending on how it is sorted, for the Asian 2 group stage for qualifying. That way their fate is decided over 10 or 12 matches, not two.
