1. The Tyne Bridge and Sydney Harbour Bridge aren't the only similarities between the two cities then.
2. Getting a bit grey there Mr McGroin?
3. I usually only drink on weekends. But I drink ridiculous amounts. Recently I've started drinking every night to deal with stuff. Not a good idea...
4. I'm also one who doesn't have a cassette deck in my car, I've been meaning to buy an iTrip but can't be arsed, all my cd's are in my car anyway. an have an iPod video which isn't really much use to me, I could stack it with porn but it's too complicated a process, plus I'm on the type who would want to watch porn on a train or bus....
5. That pretty much sums me up as well. It got so bad at my gf's birthday party (in fairness to me I had been up since 6am and started getting shitty at about 1am that night) that she effectively left me over it. Though we were already having problems. The day before she left me, I had been to see a doctor, then a psychologist and had been diagnosed with clinical depression (of the genetic variety). So now I'm on the "happy" pills which have caused me to be incredibly sick, I've dropped about 7 kilos in a week and don't have an appetite, at all, and I've told my now ex gf that I don't think I want to remain friends (selfish? Dunno). So I think my character flaws have increased a little bit in the last week or so.
6. American IV was class, might get the new one but i'm fairly broke.
7. I see girls (including my gf) drinking beer all the time. The problem is alot of them can't handle it, it goes straight to their heads. Though I suppose that's the case with 99% of alcoholic beverages.
8. A few years ago a couple left their three children in a car in 40C to go and play pokies. The youngest died and the other two had brain damage. And I'm fairly sure they got off scot free.
9. No, it's because the book was poorly written and the film was a poor adaptation of a piss poor book! I did like Goal though, on a superficial level. 165108 165113 Goal was great in a Roy of the Rovers kinda way not bothered about the sequel though as we'll hardly been in it will we? 165162 I'd guess that given we got into the CL in the first film we'll play Madrid at some point and Santiago will put us out. Traitor tbh.
10. Every day I'm more and more convinced they're in for a really, really shit year. Well normal by their standards. They are a nothing club who think they are massive.
11. How can we afford that?
12. How low can they go? I'm tipping that within the next decade AFC Wimbledon will overtake them.
13. I'm going to have 12 sons and eleven of them are going to play for Newcastle. There's always one failure in a family and he'll have to settle for conference football with the mackems.
14. The "rumours" section on www.nufc.com is excellent for that. Interesting when you look back at some of the rumours from 5-6 years ago (like Essien being linked with us from Bastia). http://www.nufc.com/2006-07html/rumours.html 163417 Just went there for a geezer, Dyer to Inter, Juve, Barca and Roma in June 2001! Times change eh? There's a few prophetic rumours amongst it.
15. Indicators are a useful tool in ensuring safety and free flowing traffic. So why the fuck don't people use them? That's my number one gripe. Just yesterday a car did a right hand turn right in front of me without indicating. By right in front I mean if I wasn't paying attention the passenger would have been dead and I'd have lost my legs. Then there's people that pull out of parking spots without looking or indicating. On busy roads that's a nightmare and it always seems to happen when it's raining. Why don't people indicate? Is it laziness or arrogance?
16. I was under the impression that statutory rape was only relevant if it involved an adult and a minor. A 15 year old is not an adult as far as I am aware. As unfortunate as this is, I don't think it's reasonable to make an example of a 15 year old boy who fornicated with another child. A more relevant problem arises from this situation. Where are the parents? And if she's not in the care of her parents, has the system let her down? Allowing an 11 year old to get sloshed and get pregnant is unforgivable.
17. I practically shit myself at the site of one, even the pissy little ones, and I'm not afraid to admit it. Unfortunately my gf is even more terrified of them, so I'm the one who has to be the hero. I hate summer because of spiders.
18. I'd have to agree with that. I drive a Peugeot 307, thus I am comfortable with my machismo and masculinity. In this part of the world 4WD's are driven by those affectionately known as soccer mums in America. To us they are trophy wives, school mums or simply, bitches. The can barely see over the steering wheel and cause an amazing amount of accidents. There should be specific testing and licencing for 4WD's so these bitches, who would be shit drivers in any car anyway, are kept away from me in those monsterous things. (Also we can blame urban 4WD drivers for the obscene high petrol prices, but that's another bitch for another day)
19. Nice, we look very strong on the left now. We still need to sign at least one striker and a full back tbh.
20. I remember reading something on him just after he transferred to chelski about his biggest problem going to Landan was that he likes to sleep alot and didn't feel comfortable living in a noisy city. From all reports when he was at Blackburn he would basically train and eat at the club and then go home to bed, sleep right through until morning when it would start all again. 163334 Sounds like my kind of lifestyle.
21. Shite. Couple of shite shirts this season. Good thing we barely wear them.
22. Adelaide is canny nice too I thought. Perhaps it's the liberal South Australian marijuana laws that clouded my judgement though. 162222 It's nice in the quaint, country bumpkin backwater shithole way, yes. I've had some fantastic experiences travelling their for the football. Like being offered cocaine in McDonalds, and being egged after the football, and no taxis picking my group up after the football, and my car being scratched with a key. Great times.
