Still can't beat Gazza's goal at Euro 96. I can remember patches of Italia 90 (I would have been 6, so the patches are vague!), but this was the first tournament I remember watching in all its detail. It had everything apart from some extra long studs on Gazza's boots in the semi's! Supporting England used to be great

I love some of the details they spot in shows that would otherwise pass me by. Oranges FFS, did anybody make a link to other episodes or even the Godfatherr?! great stuff!

The Pianist Technically I think I've only seen it twice, but it's a great movie and needs a mention. Also, has anybody watched Memphis Belle? Only seen it the once but another good war movie about the crew of a WWII bomber returning home

this. Glad they smacked it straight on the head first episode

Downing to West Ham - trying to provide Carroll with some service? I've never really rated Downing too much, yet every time I see him play against us he seems to play well. Hopefully Big Sam get the worst out of him.

Has anybody seen 'Hostage', the Bruce Willis movie? It was on e4 last night, I caught about 15 minutes of it from about 1/2 way through and it seemed like a worthwhile watch but had to get some sleep for an early start. Worth a watch? -
Laurent, no.

Hatem Ben&jerry's Arfa not helped by the low camera shot. Haven't seen too much of the pre-season stuff apart from the goals so can't comment on his fitness, but I'd rather have a slightly podgy, regularly available Arfa than a 15 games a season player.

I see .com have a picture of our u21's in the yellow 3rd kit. Is this the new way we launch kits now? in an empty stadium with no media coverage? We've done this for all the strips this season, and there is still nothing on the main website about the members kit. I don't regularly buy them, and won't be rushing to a shop anytime soon to wear some Wonga gear, but it seems so lack-luster. I can remember a few seasons back when we used to make a massive deal of this, revealing sections of the kit for what felt like an eternity before its launch.

this is going to be good!! Great start and great ending the episode.

Just been watching a season re-cap to get me in the mood, forget what I said in the other thread, i'm now extreamly looking forward to this! and i've just had a deadline at work moved forward so got to work evenings on a project, dammit!

Walcott must be one of the most frustrating players to watch week in week out if you're an Arsenal fan. Again showing flashes of the potential he is capable of, but will surely disappear during the winter months.

The last episdoes of Breaking Bad started last night in the States, and they're apparently available for UK viewers on Netflix the next day. I 've lost interest over the last year waiting for the this finale to commence, but i'm sure once i watch a recap and the first new episode i'll be hooked again.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11678/8862231/newcastle-striker-shola-ameobi-could-leave-st-james-park seems so strange to see quotes of "i've got the world cup at the end of the year to think about"......

Just thinking about the whole Rooney ? Man Utd / Chelsea situation. I see Mourinho is again in the papers saying that there's no time limit on his pursuit of Rooney, yet there seems to be a reluctance to sell on man U's side. Do you think this is all just mind games with Rooney, and he isn't actually that bothered if he gets him or not? That Jose is simply using the summer to poke an already unhappy Rooney to disrupt Man U's start to the season and effect one of there most influential players, rather than actually desperately wanting him to join Chelsea?

Whats Giaccherini like down the road? I don't know much about him other than he played for Juve fo the past two seasons when they won the title. But by that Logic Obertan has won the Premier league....
