  1. And theres more..... Matthew Valbuena's agents: "He wouldn't go. You don't leave Marseille to go and play for Newcastle," he told radio station RMC. "It's just a fad. There was Arsenal, today it's Newcastle, tomorrow it'll be Liverpool or Chelsea." Hutteau's comments were taken one step further by fellow agent Frederic Guerra who told RMC: "It's the exotic club par excellence. You go there for the money and nothing else. It's been years since Newcastle won anything." Read more at http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/187614.html#TwSXGAY8WsfojoBH.99
  2. Is his lass likely to be the type to develop a wet gusset at the thought of the Milanese shops etc?....
  3. 14 goals in 51 league games for Swansea....more than 1 every 3 games. How does that comapre with Remy?...did he have a blinding season 2 or 3 years back?...
  4. He wont leave whilst theyre still in the champions league iyam....
  5. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11678/8388431 Check out St Etienne's VC's last comments....
  6. Non "sky 4" cup finals obviously hold no appeal for the overseas market. If Swansea and Bradford make it and sell all their tickets it'll be a grand affair iyam. Chelsea would end up returning tickets for the final anyway...6 miles from Stamford Bridge..
  7. Got fuckin locked out that day at 2-30pm...dont think I'd seen us score 5 before then and obviously at full time I still hadn't ....didnt matter, Lou Macari had bet on his own team to lose...youve got to think some of the players had some of that action too
  8. We need two strikers and two centre halfs iyam. And we need to forget any attempt to let Simpson go now weve got Debuchy, if thats what theyre contemplating. I remember one of the dildo sellers at West Ham saying when they went down "I thought we'd spent enough in January to keep us up....." That was the January they signed Ba, can't really remmeber who else but I do seem to rememeber it working for a while then they flatlined and went down. Bottom line is theres no guarantees of acheiving anything with no real time to blend new players into the squad. A fortnight after the window closes we're back in Europe too.
  9. If Ashley wanted to increase wages in the short term he'd have to sell a couple of our best players and replace them with a couple of "steals" in the HBA and Cabaye mould i.e. hugely underpriced top level players. That would be a very dfficult trick to pull off again talent wise, but if theres 20-30 million swimming around (partly) for wages over and above whats in the "spare" wages kitty then he could perhaps pull it off, but I mostly agree with HF that although he could well end up cashing in on our top talent any funds raised are highly unlikely to push the wages cieling higher at NUFC. This is roughly the model Spurs have followed in the last half decade or so, with pretty good results. But as we have seen this season, theres nothing guaranteed in this game.
  10. no, thats not the case.......its only the internet folks, chill out.
  11. So youve done that and its two different ip addresses/posters/cross dressers?.....
  12. Cheers CT, knew we could rely on you
  13. Sounds like Barton and maybe HBA (they must know each other at least?) might be whispering sweet nothings in his ear. Anyone want to express an opinion as to what sort of player he actually is? Darren Bent type? Andy Carroll type? Shola type? Whats the thing about him being able to play wide as well, does that mean in midfield of further forward?
  14. Man city send 900+ tickets back to Arsenal....at £62 a throw I don't blame them.. http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/08/manchester-city-ticket-allocation-arsenal
  15. Curtis Good playing for Bradford tonight, beating Villa one nil
  16. I know, but there are hundreds of footballers who have enjoyed a good piss up and achieved loads. Thing is, everybody's body is different. Its not for us to say that Dyers enjoyment of a night out is the root of all his injury worries. We just dont know.
  17. And that period is at the root cause of all his subsequent injury problems?...are you fuckin sure about that, if so how about some evidence?....or is this your straight edge bigotry sneaking out again?
  18. hmm...see I think if we bought a centre back, we could get a lad like him in on loan as well, just for back up. We're criminally under manned for a premier league campaign.....a lot of folks predicted this at the end of the last window too...Ashley lost this turn of the wheel like...
  19. Tony Adams was an alcoholic and played well into his thirties...Dyer was a kid on the lash in a party town, thats about as much as anyone on here could say for sure about his social habits on Tyneside ffs. The rest is noise. Especially linking that time to any subsequent injuries.
  20. They'll need more than Belhanda....theyve only got Defoe...looking at it like that, they may have a bit more to come this season if they make the right signings... Squillachi and Jourou available from the arse....are either of then conceivably better than Willo?....no?...thought not.....
  21. ignore our abysmal defending, the turn and shot for their first goal was brilliant....Wayne Brigde played well too...
  22. you're breaking my heart.....this is piss poor even for you....
