1. Cheats lost at the end of the day (semi + final pens were worse than anything Ronaldo did). I actually felt good watching Italy win - don't know where it came from but when I saw Barthez sitting depressed I thought back to his antics for Monaco against us and felt better for my "choice".
2. Novel idea - play football.
3. I like a 'landing strip', fully bald ones freak me out* tbh. Added to this evening's to-do list, get pissed and trim my pubes. *EDIT: but still far preferable to a jungle, obviously. 155190 Had on.......a Brazilian is a landing strip right? At least I thought it was? I don't like all out shaved baldy ones! They're a bit pervy iywmho. 155226 Not an expert but I saw a program which described a brazilian more in terms of making sure the rear view is bald (for thong reasons) and a landing slip is okay as you say.
4. Nobody said he was shit. But the fact is that no big clubs were interested in him at the time because there was a perception that he was a troublemaker and more hassle than he's worth. He's kept his nose clean and played very well since he went to Blackburn, but that doesn't change what his behaviour was like when he was at Newcastle. I'm just so not-arsed about Bellamy and what club he signs for and think people need to fucking get over it tbh. 152781 I still don't accept the Souness line that Bellamy was a massive troublemaker. My distinct recollection was that people on here not only felt we were better off shot of him because he was trouble but also because he wasn't that good anyway. He's gone, I accept that. However, given the striking crisis we're facing, it does make you think. 152834 I've always thought the signs were there that he was the cause of bother but I guiltyly tended to apply the HTL "Only on the pitch" menatality. I agreed with those who suggested he was symptomatic of Bobby "losing it". I honestly thought a "tougher" approach ie Souness would sort him out but he lost any support he would have had from me by incredible idiocy leading up to departure. I freely admit to being surprised how much he has calmed down since but I'm looking forward to seeing how he reacts to Benitez' rotation policy. I think people who obviously still back him totally have to look at how the question of going for him after Souness left was never suggested in any quarter (at the club) - it would have been easy for Freddie or Roeder to say "Souness had a problem with Craig" etc, etc and try and re-sign him. I honestly think that shows that at least some of the "propaganda" had a basis in truth.
5. Can you imagine what an even more annoying little shit he's going to be with that strip on? (He was annoying for us but its okay when its for you)
6. Just spending £16m to buy out Murray is pointless. Another £40m to clear the debt puts them on a good championship level. Another £20m will ensure promotion and possibly establish them at a Pompey/Fulham level. £78 million and still way off the pace. I think thats their "best" case scenario - talk of actually challenging would require another huge sum and primarily a good manager which is doubtful - I don't think they'll get O'Neill now.
7. Well if they'd been playing at a major music venue in Sunderland they'd have been okay... Oh shit. The chip on their shoulders about Newcastle being seen as the be all and end all of the north east makes me smile so much
8. I don't think theres anyone who doesn't think the Paedo sentence was too lenient but I have no problem with this - they beat a stranger to death out of hatred and bigotry - I think that defines evil in every sense. Then I read this: News Story in which the churches want exemption from the law to continue to use tax-payers money to preach the same hatred and bigotry shown by those murderers to children. Once again - evil is the word.
9. I got a letter last year and eventually renewed quite a while after the deadline. Funnily enough this year I intend to buy mine next Tuesday (pay thing) which made me smile at the extension.
10. They were preparing the sub when Owen missed that header - would loved him to have scored just to prove your point. England won't go very far unless owen gets fit. I also agree completely with Leazes.
11. Juninho said the same iirc - he said he came from a similar shithole in Brazil so the town didn't bother him but at least at Boro he could live in the countryside which is a very fair point and could be said to apply to Newcastle as well.
12. That finger looks like its interested - to boldly go.....
13. Never finished above eighth, pub leagues aside.
14. Aside from my other doubts if the crack about Boro about him wanting a 3 or 4 day week is true then no loss imo.
15. All terrorists love martyrs - in this scenario add in the religion bollocks and that factor is increased 10 fold. I think if Leazes had his way and a few examples were "executed" there would be a bomb every other day - it would be like living in Jersusalem when thats at its worst. As for the answer I don't know - but I think the "corruption" of more moderate Islamic countries by western values (ie capitalism + freedom) like the Gulf states and Egypt to an extent holds out our best hope.

More likely a Hattie Jacques type matron given his tastes for the older woman.

Question

I'd take it - I'm one of these idiots who honestly believes that once the jinx is broken we'd win more - and I'd see them.
18. Darwinism at its best - with bonus irony because of it.
19. That definitely happened in South Shields, though not sure if the man himself was there but my Dad told me of "normal" blokes getting together to run fascists out of town when they tried to march in blackshirts. Always made me proud.
20. They worked alright in Iraq, right ? No good pretending the technology couldn't be perfected, rather than bury your head in the sand. 144538 Theres a diffenece between military dispersal techniques and a couple of nutters trying to put a terrorist weapon together - a bomb blows things up - the chemicals would go with it. This has all the signs of that one where they sent tanks to Heathrow or the one where Old Trafford was "targetted" (no charges ever brought) - absolute propaganda fuelled bullshit. I know there are people out there with the intent to do these things but we all know that your "final solution" to a relatively small problem is to ship out millions of people who happen to cotribute more to Britain than millions of "true" british. 144543 "Relatively small problem".....usual left wing head in the sand bollocks 144553 Relative to deporting a couple of million people (the majority of whom are citizens) I'd say it was small.

22. Chemical weapons don't work - its propganda to create an atmosphere of fear and to make the gullible hate muslims.
23. Did this on another board a while ago but it still stands: Boy - U2 Futurama - Be Bop Deluxe The Crossing - Big Country Master of Reality - Black Sabbath Achtung Baby - U2 Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins Doolittle - The Pixies The Real Ramona - Throwing Muses Star - Belly The Holy Bible - Manics
24. I still don't know how the hell they got way with the Graham payments which they knew about - Oh hang on yes I do - David Dein.
