Recommend me something to watch!

My parents discovered the benefits of subtitles back when Rab C Nesbitt was first on (my mam's Swedish so she had no chance, to be fair  ) and they have them on pretty much all the time now. It's quite handy because they can talk over what's happening on the telly - and they do, they do - and you don't lose the thread of what's going on. Not that it's usually anything more intricate than Casualty, but still.

I’ve just started watching Our Friends in the North on iPlayer. I saw bits of it when it was originally aired but missed a couple of episodes and never got caught up.

Just started watching Bad Sisters. It's good.

Not sure Apple tv is worth it for this, and Ted Lasso, but we'll see.

Anyone got any Apple tv recommendations besides those two?

See page 305 of this thread as I can’t be fucked typing it all out again.

Apple TV+ doesn’t have much on it but what it does have is good quality. ‘For All Mankind’, ‘Defending Jacob’, ‘Ted Lasso’, ‘Severance’, ‘Slow Horses’, ‘Trying’, ‘Invasion’, ‘Foundation’ and ‘Shantaram’ are all pretty decent.

The films are pretty good too.

You're a good man BW

Severance is next up on my watch list.

other highly-rated shows I want to check out include:

Atlanta
The Bear
The English
Industry season two
Love Life
Pachinko
Top Boy

I’ve been enjoying his dark materials with my little boy too. Read the books about 20 years ago and has been nice not really remembering what was going to happen
