Someone sent me an email applying for a post in our company recently and at the end of the email wrote "tks" instead of "thanks". Amazing how quickly you can find the delete button sometimes.

:D I'd be a total spelling/grammar/retardedness fascist if I were in charge of recruitment to any extent.

I'd like to take the Viz approach to it - toss half the CVs into the bin without reading them. After all, you don't want to hire anyone who's unlucky.

I read through a CV the other day where someone said "My juties were <whatever they were> which I did great" and that was one of the better bits of grammar. :D

 

Just a young lad like, you'd think someone could've read through it for him..

At a gig and the sound guy was a bit of a fucktard, during the checks a mic popped then crackled like a de-tuned radio (I'm not at all techy savvy), we all looked up and he said "It's not broked, I can fixed it"

 

I was agog.
