Giraffidae 0
Breaking: Cheick Tioté towards England? Well, he was still by far the best player in recent games (and potentially that he had since his arrival in Enschede), so anyway as soon as the boss a bit of time typing. Cheick Tioté missing today on the training of FC Twente and according to the Tubantia be due to an imminent transfer to Newcastle United. Previously, although West Bromwich Albion in the market for steel Ivorian. — off some FC Twente blog possibility of already been signed, just waiting for international clearance? JaMoUsE 0
was just about to post that ^^^^ Newcastle United last night gave Cheick Tiote of FC Twente a medical after agreeing a £3.5m fee with his Dutch club. The 24-yearold defensive midfielder, capped eight times by the Ivory Coast, will require a work permit. acrossthepond 866
Any reason we could not have used the money that we now supposedly have for this bloke to buy/put in a better loan offer for Ben Arfa? EDIT: Already been listed as our player on Wikipedia. They don't half work quick over there. Edited August 20, 2010 by acrossthepond

Ayatollah Hermione 13760
Hey! You know that Tiote fella? In Jesmond tonight, having medical. €4m, perhaps. Needs a work permit. Any good? No idea From Caulkin.
acrossthepond 866
I know the Daily Mail is a load of rubbish, but it's a long way from "Newcastle might bid for this guy" to "Newcastle have had a bid accepted and he's had a medical." Hughton definitely didn't deny the link in an earlier interview. Quietly optimistic on this one.
