Tell you what, if we can get a Burn, Bakker, and a striker, this has been an excellent window.

If it's just (just) Trippier, Wood and Guimaraes then it's still a good one.

Anyone else heard of this so-called “anti-Newcastle” pact the “big” clubs supposedly have all silently agreed to?  Man City being the only exception apparently.

No other club wants Dele Alli and Spurs don’t want to deal with us because of this aforementioned pact.

sadly makes sense. think of all the clubs that signed up to that failed hyperleague, that got called out for what it was, they'll be the people that don't want to deal with us. spurs, arsenal, man red, liverpoo, Juve, real and Barca, to name just a few of them.

They won’t all be able to afford to in the medium term anyway.

I wonder if we are planning on making a late move for Nunez at Benfica. Seems to be the top young striker in Europe along with Vlahovic and there's been rumours rumbling about our interest for weeks

There will be more signings. Just enjoy the ride.

In the medium to long term, the won't be in possession of the level of assets we'll be looking at. If this is their game plan it'll be doomed to failure. It's only delaying the inevitable.

They may as well bend over for us now so that they can claim a Sunderland style buddy team relationship with us in the future.

Pretty sure I've seen Xisco, Luque, Colback, Saivet and Alan Smith in the background of some of the training photos. Finally time to move them on?

Really depends what other options we can move on. I'd have him here as he should settle quickly and we need someone who can be put straight into the team.

We should steam right in with £15m. Brighton know fine well they'll never command that figure for him from anyone else. He materially improves our team - it's worth the investment

Him or St Just or both and go for Botman in the Summer.  Forget about the Sevilla bloke

Inclined to agree, think we dodged a potential bullet with not getting Carlos.

Aye totally agree.  Then get him and Bruno before Sunday that would be grand.

And tell them it drops by £1m every day they take to accept.

12-15m for a just turned 29 year old premier league proven centre back is probably fair enough in today's prices. In fairness he is in one of the best defences in the league. He doesn't seem to make many mistakes, which is a vast improvement over some of our defenders who seem to be auditioning for a Chuckle Brothers revival. Although I suppose it has to be said that if Brighton didn't have players like Bissouma in midfield, Burn and the rest of the Brighton defence would be under a lot more pressure.

I wouldn't TBH always a risk signing players who are frequently only used as substitutes.

I think he'd improve the squad but also agree that there's something not right with a bloke happy to be a permanent minimal bit part player.
