Wonder if that was Mitchel led (of course we'll never know).  The other thing is that if he's looking to get close to £200k a week, then it's an absolute non starter.  We'd immediately have several other players we'd have to increase their wage to keep them happy.  I don't see us going to that level for anyone but Isak at the moment.  Regardless of us being in a better PSR position now, we could easy fuck it up again if we start spunking that sort of money out on every new player.

Mbueno feels like more of a Howe signing than a Mitchell signing to me. Wasn’t lardass’s main shtick supposed to be unearthing rare gems from abroad?

Well yes but wasn't there talk about him wanting to make Guehi a statement signing?  Could well have seen Mbuemo as the same.  I'm not sure he fits Howe's profile in a number of ways.

He's too short for a start

I remember being shattered to find that it is not, in fact, drunk in the Congo.

Manufactured on the outskirts of Kendal no less.

Chelsea paying the £5m 'penalty' to get out of the £25m obligation to buy Jadon Sancho.

Man United are fucked

"Jadon, lad we're paying Man Utd £5m to remove you from our premises but just hold that pose while we take a photo of you in our new away kit...."

Mind, starting the transfer window early can’t be good for some people’s health  3 days in and some people I’m seeing seem to think it’s ending tonight. And if people are going to read every link that Chelsea have, it’ll be a long summer. They want to sign fucking everyone, man. They’re just a player churn factory

Wouldn't be surprised if Mbuemo to Man Utd falls through if Bruno has refused to go to Saudi and Sancho is on his way back

Haven't seen much of Sancho , but he was highly rated and plays in the main position we are looking to strengthen.

Might want to pass on a player that even CHELSEA think is overpaid and shite

The reaction to Mboonio news is way over the top, but then thats just social media for you. We may have been interested in him but it's not like he was the only target for the summer ffs. A massive part of what Howe does is have players that believe in this team and where he's taking them. We'll be fine as long as we add 3-4 quality players and some depth to the squad. And that's obviously not going to be straightforward.

I visited the Mbueno factory in the 1980s. At the time it was located on Belmont Industrial Estate.

The same. Looks like he is going to Barcelona.

Two weeks ago they said he does want to play for Espanyol‘s local rival. Shows how much you can trust the myriad of daily misinformed.

I don’t care about all those rumours anymore tbh. The last couple of the seasons have shown how difficult it is to be successful in the transfer market. Fair play if we manage to make some extraordinary signings otherwise it will be down to Howe making the best out of whatever is to his disposal. It’s far more important to have a great manager than relying on expensive mercenaries.
