Should have been 9 players. You cannot help but wonder how many more times we are screwed over. Cannot help but think that the changes could have been better but we have to take the bad with the good. It is bitterly disappointing but it is the way these things will go. This was such a missed opportunity.

Let's not fuck this up, now, eh?  Be so very Newcastle to end up losing this match.

From 1-0 up against 10 men to 2-1 loss, with Botman going off injured.

Only way for this to be more Newcastle would be for there to have been another injury.

Honestly the second half performance by a lot of the players was a joke. They looked completely flat against a side who had fucked them over twice last season, but our lot had no fight, or desire short of a few of them. Really disappointing tonight.

Yup. I'm getting sick of Bruno's constant messed up passes at the back that lead to goals. And in general we were so lethargic today.

I think Howe has to hold his hands up today. Got it all completely wrong. From the subs to sitting back and not piling up the pressure on them. Completely opposite of what you expected us to do.

Honestly disgusting to lose this game. Poor substitutions for a game that we should have put away. Gordon should be fuming about playing so well, scoring what should have been the winner then getting subbed to watch his replacement stuff up a golden chance and the team to go on and lose.

There's a lot to learn here, principally that you don't mess with a winning formula and secondly that you can't give that much space to a pacy player against a single slow centre back TWICE.

I just don’t get what Almiron has on Howe  the bloke was absolutely fucking lifting today, and was in the prior two games, yet Howe subbed off the winger that was absolutely fucking torturing them all game. Same can be said for taking Tonali off as well over anyone else.

I dare say Lascelles would have done better against Nunez than Burn on the second, and where was Targett? All because we hadn't put the game away and foolishly pushed too high up even though we'd already been shown what Nunez can do with a bit of space.
