Moving Gordon to the right and taking Almiron off seemed the obvious move to me. And if fresh legs were needed in middle then Bruno should have come off.

Agreed. Joelinton was having a much better game then Bruno imo. Like someone said, Howe is just too predictable sometimes, he needs to make more bespoke decisions rather than tactics by numbers.

Look, this isn't a criticism of Howe as such, but he's now been out Klopped 11 consecutive times. So he's a slow learner in this instance.

The respective quality of the sides for those 11 games needs to be a factor. We take our chances (and some weren’t exactly half chances) and we win today, we were also screwed by VAR down there last season.

Don’t think that’s fair, Klopp has had the best/2nd best team in the world at his disposal throughout those 11. Where Eddie has had Bournemouth and us

Genuinely think we have a better team than LFC now. Bournemouth, fair enough.

We might have now, but this is arguably the first time Howe has met Klopp on anything remotely like a level playing field.

I hate to say it but there was also an element of bottling it as well.

Exactly. Liverpool weren’t winning because some tactical ingenuity but because they simply threw everything at us that was available in the hope it would work and because we let the get away with it. Liverpool didn’t win the match but we lost it imho.

One thing.

He brought on Targett and moved Burn to CB when Botman went off.  Why not just replace Botman with Lascelles?  Does that not say he has fuck all faith in Big Jamal?

Probably a bit of that but more a left-footed thing.

Carragher arguing that Van Dijk's wasn't a red btw? Honestly, man. This is why these being permanently on sky is bad, an absolute stone wall red card and this daft cunt might as well be wearing a fucking Liverpool shirt in the sky box to suggest otherwise.

Probably to get someone on more creative to try to get the win. I think people are overstating the fault in the substitutions, they weren’t totally bonkers. We didn’t lose because of awful subs because the wrong state of mind and a lack of focus.

We've also failed to get Isak involved over the last 2 games. You can say he's had bad games and he did have a couple of poor touches, but we hardly ever got him behind or running at the defence which is what he does best. The slow meandering sideways passed tonight we're so frustrating and then all the chances fell to Miggy ffs.

Not getting over this anyone soon

Dunno, but Burn was miles behind the back line and played Nunez onside for the winner

Clattered him as he was going through and I'm still not convinced van Dijk touched the ball at any point. Their reaction to it tells you all you need to know about how these cunts' minds work.

From some of the comments I have read Gordon and Tonali were both gassed out of their arses which would make sense.

Thats fair, and does make sense. What doesn't make sense is why the extra man advantage wasn't used having someone else help Gordon torment Trent long before Gordon was blowing out of his arse.

It’s a hard one to take and always easy to throw the blame around but we (as In Howe and the players) are only human. Even Pep fucks it up sometimes.

Personality I'm not wanting to blame anyone. These things happen etc. I just fucking hate constantly losing to Liverpool and it was such a fucking ridiculous result. But its 1/38th of the league. Let's hopefully bounce back like Villa managed after we humiliated them. BHA is now a big game.
