Vital win, especially after the Chelsea result. I thought 65 points would be enough but it might take 67 or more the way all the teams around us keep winning. The Chelsea game is looking absolutely pivotal. Get something at Brighton and win that one and we should be good. Hopefully Liverpool aren’t too hungover/on the beach when they play Chelsea

We really need to beat Brighton, it's been too long for a start and we can't rely on winning our two home games because that's not how things sometimes go. Beat Brighton it also puts massive pressure on the others but we're playing catch-up again other than Chelsea who play after us.

Yeah, I agree. I’m reluctant to say we will win though because our record there since coming back up from the championship is lifting

We owe them one, think we'll want to put that right.

Didn't realise it, but that was the 20th victory in the last 26 games. Strengthen in the summer and anything's possible.

Aye I heard that today too, in my head we've been a lot less consistent than that but really but really only liverpool have more wins than us in the league so far, our problem is that if we dont win we lose, we've one of the lowest numbers of draws in the league but we could realistically have 3 or 4 more points if we sorted that out.

Interesting Howe in the post match press conference saying he's baffled by Tindall's yellow card, and feels that it's aimed at preventing him (Tindall) from helping manage the team. Not usual for him to say stuff like that so it's obviously annoyed him.

He said he was there, heard everything that was said, and can't understand why it resulted in a yellow.

I think Tindall just slightly touched the fourth official at the arm who took offence to it. It was a minimal contact but looked like a total overreaction to me when it happened and I wasn’t surprised when Tindall got a booking.

made hard work of that yesterday.

delighted for young osula who clearly demonstated if he doesn't make it in football he's every inch a future strictly professional.

Ipswich made us graft our nuts off. Three goals from three set pieces but on another day that was four nil before they had the player sent off at the end of the first half.  To say the absolute least we need to be a lot more clinical at the Amex next Sunday…

Well aye, but then again much better to have proportionately more wins than draws. Better to risk the 1 point in most cases and go for the win. Seasons where we have drawn a lot we've got nowt for it, like Everton this season.

Also Brighton is categorically not a must win game. That's putting unneeded pressure on us. Chelsea is the must win game. With Chelsea playing Forest last match of the season, a win against Everton, which we will get, should suffice imo. Not to mention why the fuck are we afraid of Arsenal who we've beaten 3 times already? They have nowt to play for but pride against us.

Despite a couple, I think Isak has looked slightly off it when it comes to his finishing in the last 3 or 4 games.

I'm hoping he has a couple of ridiculous performances in him in the remaining games

With how annoyed he seems when he misses I wonder if he's trying a bit too hard, snatching at chances and whatnot, he looks so casual when hes on form.

What utter bollocks   The last 4 are all must win until we have enough points to secure CL. I’m 100% confident that is also the view of Eddie.

And not sure how it “puts pressure on us”, unless you think Eddie and the boys take their pre match game plan from here.

Haven’t changed my view that we are going to struggle to pick many more points up after yesterday, especially now that we have lost big Joe.

Your post is nothing but a big Willy wave

You think we need to win all 4 to qualify for the CL? You're wrong. I am recognising Brighton as a hard game where a point would be a good result. I am more confident of winning the last 3, although I think 2/3 will be enough? Why? Because not All the other teams can or will win ALL their respective matches.

We're third place, 5 points ahead of villa on the same matches played with a superior GD. Be gone you classic bedwetter.

BTW, the CL is not the be all and end all for me. We have qualified for it several times before. The league cup was our first trophy in my lifetime though.

Not sure about this. I think we can take one more loss across the board but that we need 3 wins from 4. So to me, that means Brighton is indeed a must win game because they're an easier prospect than Arsenal. Arteta hates us. He hates Howe. He will be trying to win that game.

Villa are gone from the race now IMO, short of basically everyone else slipping up massively.

Beat Brighton, Chelsea hopefully get beaten by Liverpool then even a draw against Chelsea the week after gives us a great chance going into the two last games where Chelsea aren't going to overtake us. Just did one of those predictors and I had us finishing fourth and that was drawing with Chelsea and losing to Arsenal. It's so hard to gauge what will happen because there's so many permeations so that's why I'd love to get the points on board asap. Get six points in the next two and we'd be laughing.

And we've still managed to score 11 goals in that time. Good to see so many scoring

It's 21/22 all over again and CT is predicting we'll 100% be relegated right up until the moment that it was no longer mathematically possible.
