Have to admit I don't know loads about them, but even without AFCON I think they're a Xhaka injury away from trouble.
-
Yes, I think that's the play. There will be pushbacks, cries of conspiracy or targeting or whatever, but it is absolutely crucial that Farage goes down in flames as the traitor he is. We need to start fighting back against Russian sponsored devastation in our societies, and that means we need to stop being so tolerant of people like Farage. I would genuinely implement the death penalty for any politician taking money from a hostile foreign state. I'm anti-death penalty but I'd pull the trigger myself on those people were that the state's position on justice in that sense. The damage they are doing to our society is unbelievable.
-
Might also cover the amount of foreign money went into securing Brexit.
-
They've just announced an inquiry into foreign influence on British politics. Presumably that's gonna turn up more stuff on Reform as well.

I stopped watching Homeland cos I couldn't watch her having a 24/7 panic attack every episode. So IMAGINE MY DELIGHT when she pulled the same shit in this one. But aye, agreed, it was alright.
-
Also returned to the West Wing for a bit of comfort TV.
-
I'm still not totally sure we land on Farage here. That would be tantamount to handing the country over to a Russian sponsored traitor, and I just can't quite believe that the established forces let it happen. Maybe wishful thinking.

The Beast in me. 6.5/10 An interesting enough watch but my god that woman’s twitching face is pure stress inducing. No idea if she has some real life issue or if it was just over acting. She had a bit of it in Homeland but nothing like this. Apologies in advance if it’s a Michael J Fox thingy.

I love the way every single article studiously avoids the fact he was a Scouse mackem

Right, I let it slide on Sunday but I can’t turn a blind eye again. IT. WAS. NOT. HIS. FIRST. DERBY.

The mere fact he couldn't get back to his feet for ages confirmed to me he'd likely cracked a rib at the very least - possibly even the ribcage given the height of it. For him to accept he was unable to continue was one thing, for him to do it in his first tyne-wear derby was another. Last thing he'd want to do was leave the pitch.

We need to talk about CT.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

The creativity that went into naming that podcast btw, about the same level of effort Bruce put in here and that's about as much as I'll have to do with that link. -
The brain rot presumably won't have helped him make the wisest of decisions when it came to the crunch.
-
My fear is we're in a busy period and one injury away to any of our back 4 really from Lascelles having to start again. Per Eddie now, no clear return date for Botman and Trippier and Krafth still a couple of weeks away. Thus the talk of recalling Targett I suppose (I'd rather start academy lads tbh)
-
He endangered multiple scousers, surprised they didn't find a loophole to hang him, the other way around he'd have got community service.
-
Can we please use the preferred nomenclature, dude?

They might not have improved to the same degree as those listed further up, but each one of them definitely improved on what they were prior to working with Howe. Too early to throw any of those we obtained in the summer under the bus though. Gen-Z mindset - expecting almost instant results.

As an aside, to offer some slender optimism here, the online right wing in the US are tearing themselves apart at the moment. There's a real fault line over Israel for one thing, the actual nazis have been emboldened enough by all the 'winning' to come to the forefront and funnily enough they still hate Jewish people - and with the extent to which Israel owns US politics, there's a fuckton of stuff for them to run at which is causing people like Shapiro, Pool, Rubin, and Saint Charlie himself to come under fire. Additionally, to nobody's great surprise, it is increasingly looking like Turning Point USA (Kirk's propaganda outlet which has now been taken over by his wife) has been paying off politicians, taking bribes (again from Israel) and so on. I know this sounds 'terminally online' but it is the single thing that's giving me some grim satisfaction at the moment. They're ripping each other apart.

Sunderland are losing their steel though. It would be like us losing our entire first choice midfield (last season obv, they’re already missing this season). Xhaka is going to be lining up with Chris Rigg for a few weeks and getting kicked to fuck.
