  1. What have you been told about sniffing glue?
  2. I'd forgotton about Simon Jordon, the smarmy twat was being interviewed by another smarmy 'comedian', (both lovely London lads), last year when the Ashley/KK thing was kicking off, we got the usual shit about deluded/so-called-best-fans/not-loud-the-last-time-I-was-there bollocks.
  3. I'd dearly love to see Warnock twisting his dial at the end of this game, I agree this'll be our hardest game so far.
  4. So, we grimly hung on for a win last night, we had Krul to thank for not getting beat at WBA, we went to shit when one of our strikers went off last night, I'll be amazed if Taylor doesn't get sold, Colo is a walking timebomb, we must have the thinnest squad in the four divisions, but, you think nothing will stop us getting premier football this year. If, and it's a big fucking 'if', we hold on to what we've got and bring a little bit of quality cover in, then you may be right, what up till now though, gives you the optimism that this'll happen?
  5. I wonder how many fucked off as I was in another part of the stadium and saw a few queue up for tickets as I went through my turnstile.
  6. I didn't know that this Roberts bloke was the former Spurs player! I saw him in the Metrocentre flogging signed football shirts on a stall about 18 months ago while I was getting a birthday present for Mrs Howmanheyman. The place was fairly empty and a couple of women were asking him about various shirts they wanted, some woman asked if he could get a Fabregas signed Arsenal top! Anyway, nobody had a clue who he was, I was looking at a signed Newcastle shirt and he asked me if NUFC was my "favourite team", I told him they were and also told him that I called him a cockney bastard through the metal fence the last time he was at SJP with Tottenham, with that I smiled and bade him farewell and left him to punt his gear to the Metrocentre . Eighteen months later he's apparently a front man for a consortium looking to take over our club! Nah, selling stuff on a stall then buying a football club not long after, me smellith the odour of bullshit.
  7. Christ Almighty! You mean that Sheff Wed fan was really Russell Grant?
  8. Women, can't live with them, can't live with them. He always seems to say 'obviously' when on the box.
  9. Puccini's off the Bigg Market and Casa Antonio in Longbenton, opposite the Blue Flames club. Never had a bad meal at either, never empty, always had good service and the latter are usually great with young kids if you take them. I'd recommend the black pudding in peppercorn sauce as a starter, absolutely......ermm, lush.
  10. "To be fair like"? "Obviously" ????????????? Eh You've just spoken to him, work it out!
  11. I can't wait to bump into 'paddocklad' after that! (I might give you the "patronising cunt" jibe, but not the other description.) Sadly Stevie, it's threads like yours which feed the belief that we're arrogant and out of touch. You've made us all look like a bunch of twats, hope you're fucking proud. Have a word with yourself man for fuck sake. 32 going on 62 you like. The bit highlighted makes you come across as if you're 12, but tragically I fear you're much older Craig's right, its the likes of you that have made the rest of us a national joke, never mind the antics of Ashley & co. Well done. The likes of me kept this club going, when people used the excuse of a boycot to stay away in the early 90s, and history is repeating itself again, I'm still there are you? You patronising cunt. Paddock Lad. Says it all. Think we're gonna need a bigger boat for you Stevie And I'm not getting into a "I'm a bigger fan than you" contest with anyone, least of all your good self.... Adrian Durham was trying to get calls from Newcastle fans this afternoon on talkshite using the 37k crowd as a wind up..."Newcastle fans pack SJP every week don't they?...where've they all gone?" Where do you think he gets ammo like this from? Whether you accept its the case or are bothered by it in any way, you can be sure its from the likes of you. Fair enough, you're a proud man,but can you not just accept that our crowds have gone up and down over the years in proportion to how we're actually performing on the pitch, and in that respect we're much the same as any other club really?...the difference is we've got a slightly bigger hardcore than most at the heart of the club, and thats about it. Adrian Durham doesn't need anybodys help to have a pop, he's a shock-jock who's very job it is to wind people up into ringing the joke radio station he works for and basically to keep him in a cushy job. Just don't listen to the prick.
  12. It has taken us a long time to get back on our feet. Many comparisons can be drawn with the way we were run and how you are now. No fans want to see their club being run badly and we had it for years. We have a very good support and I am sure we will do ourselves proud on Wednesday night. Fair play pal but I still hope we pump you Wednesday night! No bad feelings here. Sorry my Owl friend, but I don't bat for the opposition, but hey, live and let live and all that.
  13. For any Owls reading this, I don't think the majority on here dislike you or have any bad feeling towards you, I also think most on here regard you as one of the bigger Northern clubs and will look forward to the games, From the little time I've been on here I'd say Stevie likes to express himself and 'says what he likes, and likes what he says!' A bit like some Yorkshiremen. Are we all friends, now?
  14. I know they're going to be pissed off after Stevies little rant, but the amount of Sheff Wed fans who were at our (very, very) few 13,000 attendances is staggering! They must have brought more than the teams we were playing!
  15. Aye a bigger gate than they've had in any competition for a decade, including their small time derby which regularly doesn't sell out, and we're all fickle, despite no signings, prices largely in the same ball park, no manager, no owner who gives a fuck, and all the players leaving. 37,000 what fickle cunts. Some Mag must have pissed all those Sheffield lads off.
  16. As someone has already said, They brought a few up in the mid-eighties, we took even more down there, one of their fans mentions 3,000 odd of them coming up in '91, not too sure about that one like, but regardless, both Sheffield games are definitely the ones I would like to go to along with Posh purely for good memories of great away days of the past, The boxing day one means I'm out for the Hillsborough game as I don't really fancy getting divorced! Will go to Brammal lane if I can. Can't really get upset with Wednesday, There's far more clubs with tossers following them than these.
  17. Its a well documented FACT we need to strengthen the squad isnt it? So if the take over collapses MA would HAVE to protect his investment by re-investing...maybe with some of the money he raked in? Its no joke...its fact! August 2008: We needed to strengthen two or three areas, we didnt - FACT. January 2009: We needed to strengthen the same couple of areas, we sold - FACT May 2009: Chronicle, NUSC and NUFC work to ensure the atmosphere is as big as possible at remaining games, Portsmouth & Boro are successful, gaining 4 points as a result Ashley thinks we're safe and refuses to invest anything to create better atmosphre, we lose 1 nil and that single point is enough to send us down - FACT August 2009: We're dying on our arse, he sells anything that moves - FACT The only thing I'd disagree with you there, PP. You don't need flags/free scarves etc to create a atmosphere when you're playing your final home game with the need for points still desperate. Unfortunately, the players weren't the only ones who thought the job was done after the Boro game, the atmosphere was flat as a fart considering the circumstances, mind, playing Fulham didn't help, a decent enough side with very few fans who nobody has any problem with, we needed a bit of needle in the match to get the sleepy fans going. The players let us down and didn't really inspire, equally, a lot of supporters thought we'd already done it after beating the Smogs and then seemed almost seemed resigned when our goal got disallowed and we went down to ten men.
  18. And I've just found out they had a smaller crowd than us! Un-fucking-believable. They've went down another notch in my opinion. Small time, boring bastards.
  19. Talking of sad cunts..... Was really pleased to hear the boos ringing out from Villa Park yesterday, that was no minority giving them stick. The fickle, fickle bastards. And to think of the stick they gave us on the final day*, making banners about a club they have absolutely no history of bad blood with, very small time. Also very interested to see how Martinez gets on with Wigan, there's a lot of impressed people so far with the Anglo-Spaniard. *Villa are most definitely on our shit list. We've got good memories and they've got it coming in the future, their support last year at SJP was also one of the worst I've seen, and to be fair, they had a bit of competition.
  20. I think the tunnel is open for parking the wheel of your bike or anything else, really.
  21. I know this is a 'funny' pictures thread but I thought this wonderful photo of the 'Pont Nuef' deserved to be shown on any pictures thread for its sheer beauty. Here's a bit of its history. A magnificent sight, it really is.
