  1. Chelsea have played 9, won 9 at home. Averaged 2.44 goals scored and 0.33 conceded. And, as Ant says, will be desperate to absolutely muller someone. Even with a good manager this one'd be a write off. No point getting too wound up when the inevitable happens.
  2. People who like Shola - good people. People who hate Shola - bad people. Awful footballer mind.
  3. We've got Colo, Williamson and Dummet until the end of the season, anyone know if any of the younger lot look capable of stepping up if they need to? I imagine with the Forest lad likely joining us in 6 months and our relative safety from relegation they might gamble on not investing.
  4. Chez rumbled smuggling knock-off Hello Kitty knickers back to flog down the estate
  5. Thought Shearer was decent during the World Cup. Don't think the MOTD format is well geared towards in depth analysis, your brief is just to quickly point out any defensive errors/clever movement on the goals and say whether you agree with the ref over a slow-mo of the major controversies, then move on to the next game. Think Neville is great but I doubt he would be doing that much different if he were on MOTD either.
  6. It's only for 6 months, if a club really wants him and he wants to go it shouldn't be too hard for them to come to a small compensation package. Shouldn't.
  7. Needs to have a full season without much injury before a big club comes for Krul now imo, don't think his stock is as high as it has been in the past. Would actually guess Perez as being next January's big sale if he continues the form he's on over the next year.
  8. I'm sure they could be convinced otherwise if the right job came along for them, just depends if they think we are the right job.
  9. Counter attack option against the big boys in the CL? Other than that you would think there must be better options for a team that seemingly has CL winning aspirations.
  10. WTF are those stuffed toys up to?!?
  11. I think if we do (hopefully) go for one of the foreign options common sense will prevail and we'll get him in this season to give him time to adjust to the league, especially if they are going to try changing our style of play which could take some time to produce results. It's better if we stutter a bit now as we are very unlikely to go down than to have a bad start next year and suddenly the pressures on, and we have to make a call on whether a manager new to the league is going to be able to turn it around or not.
  12. Cisse out with a heavy cold? At least there's no chance of fucking Alnwick catching it.
  13. And I don't care who the manager/owner is, if we actually won the thing (which at this point is still extremely unlikely) it wouldn't spoil it one iota. Wouldn't mean I'd suddenly stop hating Ashley, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't really give two shits if we had Bobby Mugabe in charge when the final whistle blows.
  14. If we win tonight we've a 1 in 3 chance of being a 2 legged tie against Sheffield United away from a final, an actual final. Just hope, whatever the result, that we have a decent stab at it tonight.
  15. Question of the Day: 'Some idiots reckon these words make me sound a bit twatty, they don't though do they?!?' Toontastic Response: 'Yes, they do. And you know fuck all about Rob Lee.' Brutal.
  16. that's even worse though, people pay real money just to have a chance of getting the players they want. I always assumed the cards carried over too but I recently found out you pay all year to get a good team, then start paying all over again 12 months later. Genius idea on their part.
  17. The 300% figure is surprising, had no idea it was so successful. Why not try it here? Even if it doesn't really work I've yet to hear a decent argument against it really. An ideal world it shouldn't be necessary but as has been said, it's not a quota, just a chance to have your shot at selling yourself and your ideas so it's not like it's hurting anybody.
  18. Bit of a late swing on Taylor by Carroll
  19. Well that's the crux of it, if Carroll scores and does a little happy jump and a smile and gives Kev some hugs I won't care, if he charges over to the away end and starts flicking the V's and burning £50s I'll be a bit annoyed. Would be slightly bemused if he didn't celebrate at all.
  20. Yeah I think there's a temptation to look at his size and strength and think he should be decent there, but I think sometimes he isn't the best when pressed in tight spaces. His best thing like you say is when he has space to run in to and not having to worry about leaving a massive gap if he's our dm.
  21. Classic case of the longer your team goes on being shit, the greater the players being left out/injured become I suppose.
