  1. Assumed G-Dog was taking the piss.
  2. Lone has a new album out this week. Levitate. Sounds like he's gone a bit old skool breakbeat. https://bleep.com/release/stream/72830-lone-levitate?utm_source=Bleep&utm_campaign=a24916a863-Bleep_Album_Playback_Lone_Levitate_R_S_R5_20_2016&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_db8ca97389-a24916a863-1298501
  3. Hope you had a most excellent one, Antonio
  4. Despite the recent revival in the division the dearth of talent in the heavyweight division is still pretty shocking. Going into the fight Gjergjaj was 29-0 with 21 KOs and Boxrec had him ranked at no.23 in the World. IN THE FUCKING WORLD I know he'd fought nobody of note but the only reason it went past the 1st is because Haye took his foot off the gas.
  5. Just mentioned a while back that he'd played against Gregory back in the 70s. Described him as being a 'fancy dan winger' and soft as shite.
  6. Ricky George isn't it? He was on the BBC commentary team for the final (local Radio but with summaries on 5Live). Talk about revenge being a dish best served cold.
  7. Ask Ron Guthrie about John Gregory if you get the chance. Proper tart apparently.
  8. Hope nee ones got tickets for day 4. Anyone off to the test at Durham (just for SMB)? I'm going to the first day.
  9. Backed Pardew over Ben Arfa just like he backed Souness over Bellamy and Robert. Like this club of ours is he destined to forever repeat the same mistakes?
  10. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36340327 Update on his condition.
  11. I remembered just before I read this but aye, that's the fella.
  12. Btw, who was it used to say Hey guys, what's going on in this thread?
  13. Hope you copied and pasted that btw
  14. Dave Mackay. I just looked that up btw, I never realised he'd been the manager that year. He's the bloke in this pic getting hold of Billy Bremner which you'll have seen: He hated that photo apparently. Even though it's class. Won the double with Spurs as a player too. My dad reckons he was class. He only died last year.
  15. There was a more even playing field financially but it wasn't that easy to win the league. The sides you mention who won it all had the brilliant managers, with Revie at Leeds and Clough (or more specifically Clough and Taylor) at Forest and Derby. Like I said though I'm not having a pop at the Fairs Cup win in terms of being a good achievement. The European Cup was (arguably at least) easier to win, but it was harder to get into it too. That's a point worth making I think.
  16. Remember in the 80s when those green and white striped shirts were all the rage for a while. Wore one to many a middle school disco. The place looked like a packet of Pacers.
  17. Aye, I totally get that. I don't think too much should be read into wickets going down in a rush in the first test of the summer though. Was definitely bowler friendly conditions even if there were a few iffy shots. Back to the point, the way I see it is the suggestion might work but if you move Bairstow up the order and he's less comfortable there and Buttler still doesn't look the part then you've turned one problem into two. The thing about Bairstow and Buttler though is that they're both fantastic fielders too so it gives the option of playing either as a specialist. Think we need to persevere with the batting line-up picked for this series at least either way.
