You’d have to ask why the club Rummenigge used to play for and still works for wanted to sign Woltemade if he’s that bad. It’s either sour grapes or he’s been reading CT’s posts on here

There’s inane questions, then there’s that

Tom Watson always comes across as a proper gent like. Was a shame that year when he almost won the Open again when he was nearly 60 (he was 59 ) it would’ve been one of the greatest achievements in the sport. Maybe the greatest

Yes please, mate.

I think Thiaw / Botman was always the plan once they got established. Burn should be rotated with Botman because one has had injury problems and the other is getting on a bit. I don’t want to go back to Burn at LB. Teams learnt how to target him and he’s a fair bit older too. -

We can’t control what bids are made or what amounts those bids are from other clubs. If we went back and said he’s available then Liverpool and the player would have held all the cards. There were no other bidders so I don’t see how we’d have gotten as much as we did. Then the rat and his agent, knowing our position probably insist on the loyalty bonus too. I think it’s as fair an application of hindsight to say it might have benefited us in the short term but might’ve seen us £15-25m worse off from a PSR perspective. Wilson certainly isn’t offering some magic solution that would’ve made everything better from a NUFC perspective. -
Summed up a sizeable minority of their fans over the weekend

Tbh giving them a bit of hope only to have it extinguished at the death was better anyway

I think you meant Jay Slater. At least I hope you did

This was really good actually. Very poignant but also amazing to see the dedication and work that team put in to find the relatives of those unknown soldiers whose remains they keep unearthing.

Fuck off, Liverpool.

Them being shite will never cease to be amusing

Remember the advertising hoardings round the pitch in Billy the Fish btw? ‘Sleep In A Bed’, ‘Smoke Tabs’ and the like?

Added that to my watchlist so I don’t forget about it but here’s the link too for anyone interested: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002kj31

I think it was HMHM who said when he arrived that Osula had been bought as a ‘development striker’ ie, buy cheap, improve, sell for a profit. That’s something (irrespective of this particular player) that we need to do much more of as a club. It’s a fairly ridiculous state of affairs for a club that is as well backed as we are but we all know about PSR and how it’s stacked so it is what it is.

Based on what exactly? Both the main parties seem to be in terminal decline. I can see Labour sticking with Starmer or ditching him when it’s too late. They’re not brave enough to affect the sort of change that’ll counteract the help Reform will get from a complicit media who will / have switched horses since the Tories are in disarray. They’ll get plenty help from Musk and Co too you would think. At the very least they’ll have substantial amount of MPs unless something drastic happens. Do you honestly see Farage being held up to the same standards as Rayner? The last Tory government certainly wasn’t
