For me Gordon needs to play LW, it's his best position by far, he's been used all over this season and his drop in form is the likely result. Willock is maybe injured and in truth he was crap against West Ham. If I'm going to sacrifice a LW to play right it'd be Barnes, not Gordon, to see if he can actually do it (I remain unconvinced he's anything but an impact sub) although that would expose Tino or Tripps as Barnes doesn't seem to have much of a defensive engine. Our best/most balanced midfield is Joe/Bruno/Longstaff, it just is, if we want Tonali to play (assuming Bruno is fit) Joe goes wide right (better defensively than Barnes too) and Tonali goes in for him. But, in Eddie I trust.

Set piece delivery is atrocious, that said, even when the ball is delivered we just don't seem to attack it, if it's not pinged directly onto someone's head nothing happens. Though similar about our defending of corners and set plays, our defenders don't attack the ball. Seems all teams we're facing do. It's like we play some form of zonal scheme.

I thought his movement was great and he looked a handful, he got into good areas sadly the ball didn't join him there.

Longstaff (however much you may want to believe it) didn't cause us to lose last night, we fell apart when he was taken off. We lost because our "expensive" players can't hit a barn door. P.S. Joe would have overhit/misplaced the pass anyway as he (and Bruno) did several other times. If anyone was dire last night it was Willock, he offered nothing and Barnes was invisible. But it's all Longstaff's fault.

Two of the three you mentioned missed great chances (not for the first, or second, time this season) not sure that's the managers fault tbh. The way we're playing is creating chances, but our supposed "crown jewels" aren't taking them.
