I flew to Morocco and literally had no where to put my small rucksack as they overhead lockers were jammed with huge bags. In the end I had to sit with it between my legs. Speaking of which, the same flight I was stuck next to the worst travel companions I've ever had..a large Italian family. What a fucking racket. I know you see the stereotypes, but they really can't have a conversation with each other without shouting or flinging their arms around. They weren't even having an argument or owt either. Crazy bastards.

I work right on the Tyne and loads of our outside gear was all over the place this morning. We thought it must have been the wind but this makes more sense..

I have to say, as much as I'm not that arsed by what they do, Wigan's winning goal was awesome. I don't think I've ever laughed so much, it had everything. Deep into injury time, being on the attack looking for a winner, big punt out, no danger, Wes Brown fucking up, last defender still with a chance to clear but slipping, huge audible chorus of boos. Fucking magic.

Like everyone I was stunned and saddened by this news yesterday. It's easy to wax lyrical about someone when they die but I think Speedo deserves every bit of praise he gets. Obviously we don't know the facts yet, but the early signs are that he took his own life. Depression doesn't discriminate. A true gentleman, I found myself shedding a little tear yesterday about this, which is a bit ridiculous for someone you don't even know. Having said that, my wife also cried but I think that was the pregnancy hormones to be honest. You look at the way he handled himself and was professional and then you look at Ballotelli whinging and kicking doors down at Anfield. Says it all.

I just don't think the system Liverpool play suits him. They spent a lot of money on him, yet don't use him correctly. He played here under a system that suited him to the ground...hoooooooooof.. His drinking has got worse as well. Allegedly.

I think Test cricket is massively under threat. To be fair though, I've been watching India V WI this week and the ground has been deserted. Same with SA V Australia, which is a shame as it's the best form of the game (in my opinion of course).

All I would say is that if it's a local authority or government department then you might be knackered as they allegedly should have far more watertight HR procedures, plus a level of bureaucracy that means your case and the outcome has been double and triple checked. Should have I might add.

I did a university work placement at the Discovery Museum a long time ago (the 90's kids, remember them?) and as part of that I did workshops with kids. The Jewish kids scared the shit out of me. They were super-intelligent and good at everything, both mentally and practically. Not cocky or overconfident about it either.

I was going to say until Gene_Clark beat me to it, the Riverside became Foundation and is now a block of flats. I spent just about every Thursday night in there from 98 to 2001, until I got a proper job where getting up on a Friday morning was unfortunately a necessary evil.

Quite , quite brilliant. Haven't read through that one yet but does anyone have a link to that one SLP posted ages ago where the guy was getting the scammers to take photos of themselves with red circles around their nipples etc to prove their authenticity 419 eater is class like. I'll have a look through for the one's about him getting pictures of them holding signs saying 'I like bum love' and getting them to paint and post complicated watercolours that they've done themselves.

IIRC correctly you could iron on the blue star over the top. My dad took me to the club shop when it was at the Haymarket to get one and the only size they had left was XL. So I had a small boys home strip..with a huge fuck off blue star on the front of it as I DEMANDED my mother iron it on. What a tit.

Also, if you take the Sports Direct logo, enlarge it and stick it on the front entrance of a football ground, it looks fucking shit.
