They're completely arbitrary numbers though Stick Haaland or Kane on the Bruno chance and they score it 9 out of 10 times. Stick Trippier on it and he misses it 9 out of 10 times. Who is the arbiter of what is/isn't a scoring chance!? There's so many variables it's useless.

How can our Xg be 2 when Woltemade missed an open goal, Murphy missed a 1 on 1, Bruno missed an open goal with a header and we still scored 2?

Xhaka makes their team tick. If you manage him, then you manage the rest of them. We should be ok. We just need to make sure we don't get so riled up we do something daft (ie: Gordon v Liverpool)

Aye, I love Joe, but he's clearly the most limited player out of our starting 3 CMs. If Anderson has a good WC, his cost will be astronomical though.

When you look at the Summer signings we made, Elanga, Ramsey, Wissa and Ramsdale have already proven themselves in the PL and will come good under Eddie. Nick and Thiaw were the gambles, and they already look like they've been playing in the PL for years. This is the best squad we've ever had by a big margin.

It's early days, and it remains to be seen whether his overall goal contributions stack up against Isak's in the long term, but it's beyond doubt that Woltemade offers more to the team than Isak ever did. His link up play, close control and deft touches around the box are as good as I've seen at NUFC.
