  1. It all went tits up after HBA and Gouffran went off...hanging on a bit at the end after a pretty good first half. Didnt create a hellish lot mind. What we might be better doing is keeping Shane on the bench for a bit of width when either one or the other comes off. Cant see Marveux starting either, hes back in france with his groin isnt he?...
  2. Tbh, its been common knowlegde for ages that the club & council had been in cahoots on this. all it needs is one little journo though.. I asked pacinofan about it on here ages ago and he readily agreed its a disgrace.
  3. I didnt think West Ham exploited him at all....mainly because they hardly bothered to attack down his side mind...
  4. Well am not sure what you mean here...do you think am saying Wigan are likely to win at Arsenal?...thats not what I'm saying at all, am actually saying the opposite.Tom seemed to understand, or he thinks Wigan will beat them. Yet again, am impressed by a TT poster's ability to convey deep and cutting sarcasm in print. Thats a rare skill
  5. We've had the worst luck against those sides we're now in a dogfight with...due mostly to bad luck...or piss poor officiating...one of them anyway... Anyone know how many of Cisse's 6(?) disallowed yet legitimate goals were "counters"? i.e. may well have contributed to our points total?..one was v Benfica so that doesnt count...
  6. For it not to go to the last day, we need to beat QPR and Wigan need to lose v Swansea and also get beat at Arsenal... I think that is more likely than Wigan winning both of them tbh...
  7. So the last two home results haven't cooked his goose then as far as your concerned?....would you still keep him if we went down?...
  8. Not being investigated as part of Yewtree, its been handed straight to North Yorkshire plod. Childrens Homes then?.... a bloke I worked with when I was an apprentice in the mid 80s told me a gang of famous celebs toured childrens homes abusing kids. He metinoned Jonanthon King and Elton John's former manager John Reid. Take Saville in with the already convicted King and it looks like all this was public knowlegde to some people. May well mean the police were turning a blind eye too. Unimagineable nowadays but the post war care system in general looks a very dark place.
  9. Wins for us, the tramps and Norwich on Sunday puts half the division in danger of going down Swansea are deemed to have had a good season but would possibly only be two points ahead of us. West Brom look to be the key, obviously Swansea tonight but theyve also got Norwich at the weekend. Steve Clarke doesnt strike me as a bloke who'd let anyone lie down tbh. Dont think themm getting beat off Wigan had much to do with end of season lack of effort. On 48 points theyre safe, away at manu last game.
  10. Rip....seen plenty with more talent but few with more heart....
  11. Well Ashley approves the transfers and appoints the manager, coaching & scouting teams... I have a gander at NO now and then and its pretty vehemently anti Pardew...fair shout, but what about the man who appointed him? theres hardly a note of criticsm...if we're (partly) blaming the sudden influx of half a dozen Frenchies in January, then the need for them was obvious the previous May when we qualified for Europe. But there again, the deals we got for 3 of them just weren't on the table in the summer, so anyone who does trace this back to a lack of recruitment in the summer can't have it both ways if they have a history of praising Ashley for his "buy em young, cheap as poss" policy. Possibly we should've bit the bullet a bit more in the summer and had a bit more rotation pre Christmas...possibly we should've signed another striker to replace Ba in Janauary, possibly we should've sacked Pardew before Christmas. If anyone thinks at least one of these things should've happened, then all those decisions are ultimately down to Ashley.
  12. All the optimism from early February has evaporated.....we were all, pretty much to a man/woman, happy with the squad after the window. Not replacing Ba was mentioned, but many felt we were sufficiently strong enough in midfield to compensate for that, especially after Sissoko's performance v Chelsea. This was where we went wrong iyam, and obviously failing to replace any the 4/5 strikers who have left the club in the last year has also contributed to our downfall. Am going to Loftus Road next week...seems like Villa 09 all over again.
  13. Not to mention suspended players.....Debuchy was sent off last week....or has that news not made it over the north sea yet?.....perhaps your carers are keeping it from you. Bless.
  14. Trying to relax with my good friends Jack Daniels and Black Sheep............. working a fuckin treat tbh...trick is kids stay pissed and the nerves will just drain away naturally....
  15. I had one and mentioned it on here yesterday....went at lunchtime though sorry lads...
  16. Ahh...for some reason I thought theyd got to the cup final....is that my coat I see before me?.....
  17. The fans were chanting for Jose Mourinho earlier, which must feel good for the present incumbent, on their way to more than likely winning another two trophies this season. What a bunch of fuckin cunts.
  18. Ok...any of you London based characters fancy going?...fanbase not all good, just found out i got a spare....
  19. Not heard about Drooper then?...
  20. or get back on the (southbound) Jubille Line after getting pissed in Stratford and change to the Distrcit Line at West Ham, as the works are all to the west of WH and Upton Park is the first station to the east
  21. Is that on his twitter or something because he doesnt claim anything about his sources in the actual article, which is obviously normal and to be expected. Interesting that Brenner and Bird aren't banned...not beyond the realms to beleive that the person or persons are talking to all the NE journos... seemingly apart from Caulkin?
  22. Whether its true or not is largely irrelevent. This is about control. Theres probably something in it, but its almost certainly one person's opinion/agenda. What actual weight does that carry until its splashed in a headline?...
  23. Yeah I do agree with that, but the club is staring relegation in the face and this is blatant shit stirring at the worst possible time. The club are also allowed an agenda in a world where the press are free to print what they want. The press want it all ways all the time. Life isnt like that.
