putin knew exactly what he was doing with the timing of the invasion. rising inflation gave him the perfect window - nobody wants even higher energy bills right now.

interesting to note that starmer pointed out the economic impact of sanctions while there was no mention of the pain we will all suffer in johnson's address

And that’s it - no matter how precise you think your military is, they’re not.

Civilians, children, get caught up in the bloodshed. They’re displaced, they lose access to shelter & food any illusion of safety.

Some doylem in a £300m jet flying over your house and firing a missile…at what exactly!?

Why did the flats in Kharkiv get bombed!?

Its fucking horrendous.

The attacks aren't even advances over the borders, they're literally attacking the entire nation. Fucking horrendous!

Sounds like it’s the Germans who are holding out against really severe sanctions.

On what basis?

There are sone serious issues with supporting Russia in the past though, most prominently in the former Chancellor Schröder being a well-paid Russian sycophant. A lot of other politicians here will have to have a deep look into the mirror about downplaying the threat from Russia to western society in the last two decades.

I think it’s a lot to do with “swift”. I obviously don’t understand it all, but swift seems to be the major sanction that would hurt them the most.

The issue is the media are throwing out stories that the price is about to go through the roof. This will be less about demand and more about people wanting to buy it at the current rate.

Fucking media causing a frenzy on fuel once again!
