New contract for Pickford until 2027 despite links with Spurs. There is no relegation exit clause.

Guarantees them a large fee next year and him a large signing on fee wherever he ends up.

Sooooo out I would have

Gillespie - Final year of contract so looks like he's going

Dummett - Final year of contract - Maybe get on the coaching / club side if Howe likes him?
Lascelles
Lewis - Would love him gone off the wage bill but he has a contract until '25?
Manquillo
Krafth - Will he be the same after a massive injury? Is in the final year of his contract next year too.

Ritchie - Final year of contract
Fraser - Apparently on £60k a week!!!
ASM - Need an upgrade to suit our style of play

That leaves our defence way too short so I can only see Dummett leaving tbh.

I cannot see us buying more than 5 players next year, I just cannot.

It’ll be a couple of midfielders, a winger, a right footed centre half and a left back, I reckon. Maybe a young keeping deputy if we flog Dubravka or Karius. And then a few more young players all over the pitch for the academy

we surely need a new striker too

I think we’ll go for a young striker. Isak will be the main man next season, you’d think

Im not convinced he's a number 9 tbh. Looks to be better picking the ball up deep or out wide and running at players.

Who'd you love to have as a CAM if Maddison doesn't happen for whatever reason (signs an extension etc), I cant think of anyone

He seems to be crocked a lot recently
