American Idiot was the first (only) one I would play from start to finish from the day it came out. Also saw them tour that album where they played it from start to finish. Not many bands with a back catalogue like theirs can carry a whole tour off playing the new album from beginning to end. Might say more about the new generation of fans it brought them than the comparative quality of the albums before, but I'll gladly be counted among the noobs, even owning their whole back catalogue before American Idiot came out.
