  1. Past hour
  2. Then nonexistent Washington fought on the mags side against then minute Sunderland in an English Civil War battle. One which definitely wasn’t invented by them desperately trying to be relevant. Despite it only appearing in a Wikipedia page with little or no citations plus a badly-researched Guardian article.
  3. Of all the many, many, things the Tories inflicted on us in their 14yr reich*, the fact that so many of us gave this prick a chance is the worst- shows how desperate things were. Edit; just checked- this actually means kingdom in Ericish. Reign is apparently Herrschaft
  4. But… don’t they claim Washington as their territory? I suppose when everything, everywhere, all at once, sends you in to paroxysms of impotent rage, it’s hard to keep track
  5. Earned my trucker wings this morning. On the M11, the part where it’s two lanes- I came up behind a group of ten wagons, all of which were doing 2-3mph less than me. Looked behind, stacks of cars, looked at the time, 6:15am, so I’m allowed in the right lane as it’s before 7am. Indicate, pull out, hit cruise control and begin the slowest overtake of the most trucks I’ve done so far. Kept looking in the mirror, and the line of cars was ever growing, checked my progress, slow, but advancing. Felt a stirring in the loins Twenty minutes later, I passed the leading wagon of the ten, got a cheeky headlight flash to let me know I was clear, and pulled across. By this time, I could literally feel the waves of rage coming from the cars behind, it was like getting the best BJ of your life, then feeling your balls getting tickled just as you arrive in Cockermouth. I was rock hard, laughing like a bastard, and counting the Audis as they flew past. Fucking glorious
  6. Franck Dumas, former club player of Newcastle and Marseille, who recently coached in African countries may have a new challenge in Iran. He has been introduced to Persepolis club, which is looking for a new head coach. Alan Pardew, the former head coach of Newcastle, is also one of the options that can be given the possibility of his presence in this team. Alan is now available after challenges in Bulgaria and Greece
  7. Its not about wanting to play like Brazil. Its about taking your opportunity. We clearly had and have the better players and they're hamstrung by Southgates reluctance to use them as they are for club. Media all banging on how between Foden, Bellingham, Kane etc we have over 100 goals this season. That means fuck all with Southgate as he's the sort of cunt who goes on Millionaire and cashes out at £100.
  8. Today
  9. England got the win. It wasn’t a particularly inspiring performance and the team will change as we go. As I’ve said before the team that flies out the traps never really wins it. Im sure if they win every game win 1-0 then the nation will be delighted (bar Wykiki wanting us to play like Brazil 1970).
  10. Listened to TalkSport on my commute in. It was pretty sensible as the alcho Brazil wasn't on. They said it how it was pretty much. Decent first half, but second half boring and Southgate isn't proactive enough. The shit Foden is getting IMO is a little harsh on him. He had a poor game by his standards, but I also this a lot of that is down to what is a) asked of him by his managed and b) how our midfield is set up. One caller said he isn't brave. That's horse shit. He spent most of last season getting the fuck kicked out of him. He is targeted a lot because of his size and he isn't phased by it. When you have Sir Trent and Batty Rice in midfield what are we expecting? We spent a lot of the first 15 minutes passing from side to side. Fine lets find our feet, but we have players like Foden who can push forward. Foden likes the ball played into him when he has players tight on him, but we didn't pass it then. Kane btw in the first half touched the ball twice! Second half he did his job well, but I also think him dropping deeper invited their back line higher up the pitch too. We got the win that's the most important thing. But against a better side we will struggle IMO.
  11. bbc look north getting hammered for stating pickford's from washington, which he is. they're really not happy unless they're finding something to get themselves in a tizzy over, the stupid mackem cunts. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/look-north.1635136/
  12. Lewis Hall might be looking at a full England call up next year if he continues his form for us. If Luke Shaw is it, followed by a right back, there's a clear opportunity for him.
  13. He’d have won the argument
  14. And Steve Bruce would have won the Champions League
  15. Sorry, you're not special, just persistent
  16. Spent all last weekend at my cousin’s, basically where the M60 is indicated on the map. They're all no more than a 10 minute drive from each other but were formerly independent towns before “conurbanisation” …
  17. 12.6 miles. In the States they call that "next door."
  18. Yesterday
  19. I know this is a joke. It Oldham is miles away from Stockport, where Foden is from and lives. Regards
  20. Thing is with TAA, he could be very good in that position, because of his attributes, but he hadn’t played there anything like enough. He could probably do with a season playing there in the PL first. It’s so different playing a lot of the game with your back to goal compared to RB, where all the okay is usually in front of you. Not just that but there’s less time and space in the middle of the park. What’s weird is Southgate is normally so cautious, and it seems like an unnecessary gamble. Especially as Mainoo would be tailor made for that role alongside Rice. No t tye end of the world by any means. 3 points on the board is obviously the main thing. That was a desperately uninspiring second half display though. Especially the complete inability to string two or three passes together. Fabregas was spot in re : Foden bottling it and and trying to play killer 30 yard balls instead of hanging into possession
  21. Typical Southgate performance. All the attacking players he could have brought on to try to regain control of the game after Serbia had a go in the second half and he brings on Gallagher and Mainoo, effectively leaving us with three defensive midfielders on the pitch for the final 5-10 mins. It’s no wonder we dropped deeper and deeper. We have the quality to take control of games and dispatch the weaker sides but for all the talk of being brave, it was a typically negative mindset from the manager. Trent clearly isn’t a CM btw. He can spray it around nicely but he gave it away far too cheaply to play that position against the better sides.
  22. On what planet do people think their vote counts.
  23. I'm sorry like but I cannot stand England. I watched this one, thought maybe would take the risk after skipping the last few to avoid being put to sleep permanently through boredom. But I see we are still the same. Why won't we just fucking try. Howe would be so much better than Southgate it's actually obscene. They can fuck off though.
