Waiting for the Newcastle World headline... Emerging news that Eddie Howe is back in hospital again following pneumonia diagnosis
-
No-one is going to pay £25m for Longstaff with a year left on his contract. I think £15m max. Depends on how desperate any team needs him of course but £25m would be about right if he had 2 or 3 years left.

That content, for the benefit of the elderly/sensitive/both, is only as we speak on the X app

Nop just a reaction to the post above

Aaaargh hellsite link. I clicked it ONLY because Cat posted it, hoping he really pisses off his consultant next season.

Good man, Meenz. We’re staying right next to the Brandenburg Gate so right next to the transport links for getting about. Put everything in there into my list and like you say, will keep an eye out as I go from area to area. My only concrete plan atm is going out for our game on Sunday
-
He’ll only have a year left on his contract so fairly reasonable price.
-
That’s the closest they’ve been to a decent coach in over a decade.
-
£25 mill or they can feck off IMO

Whereabouts are you staying? Foodie friends in Berlin have previously recommended me Bar Immertreu and Windhorst for cocktails, St. Bart and Ngo Kim Pak for food, and Markthalle Neun (food hall/market) for general gastronomic goodness. Nothing to go out of your way for (Berlin is hardly short of options) but if you happen to be nearby etc. At the other extreme, Georgbräu in the Nikolaiviertel (near the Museum Island) is more of a southern style Brauhaus and definitely as touristy as it comes, but in a nice little cobbled neighbourhood that survived being destroyed over the years despite being very central, so worth a look if you want a stop-off while doing some of the main sights. Decent beer gardens in lots of the parks too, obviously. Victoriapark and Mauerpark spring to mind (the latter on Sunday especially). History/museum-wise, there's a good little museum and preserved section of the Berlin Wall here - https://www.stiftung-berliner-mauer.de/en/berlin-wall-memorial - gives you a decent sense of the scale and grimness of it all. The runways at the old Tempelhof Airport are now a big park so you can go and pretend to be an aeroplane if that's your kind of thing (it is mine). And since you've got the time, get the S-Bahn out to Potsdam for a day of wandering around the grand old buildings in the Sanssouci Park, it's dead nice out there.

Nah, iirc he made a point of saying that transfers weren't his sole remit and he was at the 'centre of the wheel' connecting all departments.

NSFW?
-
Not sure if this has been picked up already but… they’re having our sloppy seconds
-
If they get promoted they’ll be like a fat kid in a sweetshop with £200M to spunk on shit even though most will end on a massive wage bill
-
I will boot you square in the ballsack if this cheek continues in future
-
£12m doesn’t seem much for an English player with CL experience coming into his prime years. Hopefully if two clubs are interested it will be closer to £20m. PSR means we have to sell well as well as buying well
-
No doubt the same people who were trying to hound out their manager for being the worst ever will claim he is now a world beater and better than Howe if they get promoted. Only to demand he gets tarred and feathered and run out of town when they start getting pummelled in every PL match. I can't wait.
-
Is there a credible source for the $12m valuation? I doubt that's the club's own valuation for the reasons you've laid out plus he's British (noting he only has a year left on his contract)
-
It’s transfer speculation. People literally just make stuff up for engagement
-
Maybe I'm misremembering what he was responsible for then. I thought he was pretty much the man behind most of our first team buys. If he wasn't, then yes my view of him changes quite a bit.
