  1. Only seen the league stats but he's got one shot on target, no goals and no assists from 150-odd minutes of game time. I'm a fan of his but he clearly isn't doing the business (for whatever reason) so far this season. If he's not contributing much in an attacking sense then, inevitably, his lack of defensive work becomes a bigger issue than it would otherwise. It's a bit fucking simplistic to argue it's his coach's fault just because he's questioned his work rate. For what it's worth I'd like to see him do well there. He's pissed off just about every manager he's ever worked for though.
  2. Managers want end product essentially. He's got no goals or assists so far this season.
  3. I think the points been made a few times that KK would've done well and been happy with being given the money the subsequent relegation cost.
  4. Ever felt the desire to imbed an ice pick in his head?
  5. CT's more like the back end of a pantomine horse
  6. I was in France on me hols and got a text off Scottish Mag telling me when it was announced. I swear I turned to my lass and said Joe Fucking Kinnear?
  7. Just for the sheer out of the blue nature of it. At least Carver made some sense in terms of our appearing to be safe and him already being here.
  8. Had a look on .com on the transfers page. 15 different managers, caretaker or otherwise, have been involved in transfers (or one in Steve Clarke's case) since KK was manager first time round. I'm assuming a lazy journalist has gone there and just used that list as a reference. As has been pointed out that includes caretakers but misses out Pearson and McDermott.
  9. Yorkshire need 350 to get extra the batting bonus point and keep their Championship hopes alive. Bad light stopped play with them on 349-9
  10. Aye, he really thought that one through.
  11. They won the old Sunday League and the Gillette Cup too. Used to love watching the former on Sunday Grandstand. That was back in the day when test matches had a rest day on a Sunday (which seems ridiculous in hindsight) and test players would often play for their counties in the Sunday League and on that 'rest day'.
  12. They had a lot of success with Botham, Richards and Garner but they never won the County Championship.
  13. Dalglish, Gullit, SBR, Souness, Roeder, Allardyce, Keegan again, JFK?*, Hughton, Pardew, McClaren, Rafa. Who's missing? - Shearer and Carver only makes it 14. * Does he even count?
  14. Dalglish taking us to the cup final in '98 springs to mind. Although we did beat Everton away via an Ian Rush goal in third round.
  15. Looks like the Middlesex - Yorkshire potential title decider is shaping up to be a canny match. Although I'd quite like to see it end in a draw and Somerset win their first County Championship.
  16. I always thought he was a cunt but I didn't think he was that much of a cunt.
  17. Haven't seen that compilation before but it's got some brilliant tracks on it. And yes, discogs is great. I use that site all the time.
  18. And Teresa May is the best PM eva
