  1. The talk of international tournaments has triggered a memory of my dad's reaction to Gazza sliding in during the Euro 96 semi-final and missing a tap-in by a fanny hair. That's the first tournament I can remember even if it is just little snapshots. Pearce's penalty, Suker's chip. In fact, I remember being excited that Suker was signing for Arsenal a few years later and being able to see him play in England, solely because of that chip.
  2. Honduras should go because the more teams from the Americas, the better the World Cup will be.
  3. I could also suggest watching this on a loop though I am sleep deprived from Warsaw.
  4. Review with Forrest MacNeill and Nathan for You are two of the finest comedy creations of all time but they're not strictly sitcoms either.
  5. Watching the Charity Shield in Spain in a bar full of Man Utd fans and crying outside because we got howked. I was 21 at the time, like.
  6. High of 16th Surprised they didn't get a collective nose bleed.
  7. Fair point with Roeder as well tbh. Him resigning was clearly because Shepherd was selling and Ashley/Allardyce was coming in but his full season post-Shearer saw him juggle a load of injuries, bleed in youngsters and actually pull off some memorable performances. All got a bit weird when he referred to himself in the third person and started Matty Pattison at home to Spurs but the decent outweighed the shite.
  8. must have been wearing those boots since 2012
  9. Aye, a classic attempt at rewriting history, as all shit managers do.
  10. I'd much rather have our keepers than Gomez though. He's a liability
  11. That Doucoure (sp?) has always looked good when I've seen him this season. Nee Merino like but he's better than Diame.
  12. That's certainly the quickest I've gone from becoming aware of a celebrity to seeing her tits in quite some time.
  13. They’ll not be laughing when our reserves beat their first team in the same trophy next season.
  14. Thought his best spell was after 2010-12, he seemed to know how to play his position a lot better and he’d bulked up to the point where he could hold it up and win his battles.
  15. Nobody with rising stock is going to touch them with a barge pole tbh.
  16. It must be wholly, existentially depressing to spend a lifetime working toward a dream, achieving it and then having the circumstances surrounding that success be so calamitous that it probably doesn't feel like an achievement. Absolutely no part of her day can't be utterly soul crushing on a massive, overwhelming scale. Not that I'm arsed, the sour faced, evil bitch.
  17. I thought Rafa was nailed on to join MASSIVE CLUB FULL OF POTENTIAL AND TRUE ENGLISH POWER, West Ham because they are so much attractive than us and not only mentioned because everyone in the press supports them?
  18. the blind leading the cunts. Johnson btw, fuck me. You might as well have Lionel Hutz in your corner
  19. No idea if tweets auto link but what a club https://twitter.com/SunderlandAFC/status/927580406764929026
  20. I disagree, they need to appoint a shambling wreck of a coach who has no success whatsoever so they can languish down the bottom of the table while we fly past them. If it makes them feel any better about pretending they're a big side with their grand total of 0 league titles, they can talk about 1966 for a bit.
  21. Watched the last half an hour or so yesterday and, while it may have been because they were 1-0 down, they looked like they were just waiting for the final whistle to blow so they could fuck off home. There was absolutely zero quality but it seems like their confidence is completely battered to the point where the opposition just need to score first to win. Or maybe they just couldn't give two fucks. Still, Phil Neville will sort it.
  22. Aye, was thinking that. Lejeune seemed to lose his head a bit when he went off.
